I have posted some original songs that I did in my basement. Would you mind reviewing them and giving me your honest opinions - seriously you won't hurt my feelings. I did these myself and I don't have any perspective. Not too concerned about the production - They were recorded in my basement so they are a bit lacking - I am more concerned with a critic of performance; arrangements; and the quality of the writing. One of them is an attempt at a "side long" piece called "so very far away (from anywhere else) It's kind of a Caress of Steel - Fountain of Lamneth knock off, only not as good of course - It would be worthy of being on a Caress of Iron or Caress of Stone Or Caressing what ever album. Anyway, your honest opinion is the only way I can improve. Thank you Here are the links https://www.youtube....h?v=_zJUtSEQFpA

:goodone:  Thanks Goose! Good to see someone else that appreciates the musical and emotional rawness of VT. Count me in on this exchange. I wouldn't call Vapour Trails my FAVOURITE Rush album, but it might very well be the one that is closest to my heart. I agree. The gravity of all that happened came out on that "album"

This is kinda on topic. I did a parody of Rush in the studio during 2112 secessions check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q-kISGirj0

The epic ridiculousness of Geddy's hair in this video gave rise to my username I still prefer this version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Trw5Dd8l2Gc Oh yes, the hair. Here is geddy talking about it (4:25 mark) I always loved the robes though! BTW has anybody here dined on honey dew or drunk the milk of paradise? I miss Ged's voice from the 70's but I can understand why some like his 80's voice/approach better. I think neil's lyrics became more interesting in the 80's and beyond but I'm more partial to the their epic songs even though during the 70's his lyric content was not always as well crafted.

Panacea "Naked in our Unity" Makes me cringe. -
Great album. One of my favorites of there's. - I'm partial to their epic songs. I have to say that Panacea "naked in our unity" does make me cringe a bit though. I'm working on a parody of this song as well as Passage to Bangkok. Will post it soon.
