  1. Sorry to hear this. I hope you will be alright. Thanks :) I think the day could come when I rue the fact I have no friends in this country :eyeroll: and I`m not sure quite how I`m going to address that, but I`m pretty adaptable these days, and can ward off negative thoughts better than I used to. Why do you have no friends over there? Are you from here and moved because of her and are kind of ostracized since you're not a native? Whatever the reason, my sympathies. I'll suggest that maybe if you put yourself out there a little and are genuine you'll connect with a few folks? We moved up a year ago just because England sucks these days, but as I don`t have to work and this has all been during a pandemic, I tend to stay in our rural idyll and live the life of a retired person! Maybe I`d be a local curio - being genuine isn`t a problem but finding most people boring and living very different lives to me, that is. Health isn`t always great so restricts the number of activities I can get involved in. Bummer. Not to tell you how to live but if you're not in a good place emotionally because of how you're living maybe change it up? Doesn't have to be a big change. I appreciate the idea but in all honesty, separating is most definitely good for my health and will make my life much easier. I`ve tried to support her, and it`s quite a release to not have to walk on the metaphorical eggshells. It`s sucked the energy out of me for so long :sigh: I get it brother. Sending positivity your way........
  2. One or the other, but the annual shift is flat out stupid. Glad Congress can at least unite around the easy stuff. Now let's de-schedule weed for Pete's sake. People in the northern tier think they're gonna like it. I suspect their opinions will change when it doesn't get light out until nearly 9:00 AM in December and January. Maybe not tho, we shall see.
  3. Am I like the only person here who thinks The Eagles are really, really fukking good (in my top 10 for sure)?
  4. (as soon as someone else posts in this thread) I'm a loser baby so why don't you kill me
  5. You know the reason Megadeth made that album was because of how successful the black album was, right? There was no way Megadeth was going to make it huge before Metallica. They don't have the universal appeal the way Metallica does. Yes, Dave is still bitter and it's made him a better and more consistently good songwriter than his former band mates. Who's Tiffany? The 2nd tier Debbie Gibson. If only his drinking didn't effect his behavior, Mustaine COULD'VE BEEN in the band longer. Debbie Gibson is still hot, Tiffany is fat now. Went full Karen on her audience last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64UiD3UFW6E I anyone wants to listen to I Think We're Alone Now PLEASE go with the original by Tommy James &N The Shondells. Absolutely pop gold.

  7. good night's sleep last night............when you get older, that's to be treasured
  8. Rain and low to mid 50s forecast for the next week. But you know, why would I want Spring with sun and 70 seeing as how I love to ride a motorcycle?
  9. Make standard time permanent. Not interested in daylight finally occurring at 9:00 AM in Dec. and Jan. That said, very funny based on the complaining every year. :)

  11. Oops. My sympathies. I had a "city slicker" pickup at one time. Bought it in SoCal and figured "what do I need 4 wheel drive for?". Unforeseen move back to Washington less than a year later. Buy sandbags and curse my luck. 4 wheel/all wheel drive vehicles since then. I love the Cherokee model. I'm on my 2nd one. Up in NY it was easy to get a 4WD model with all the interior creature comforts including heated seats/wheel. Big sunroof. Here in NC, not so easy. $pecial order to get what I want. Off the lot, either get 4WD with a barebones interior setup, or FWD with all the neat stuff. So I went for the latter. Figure that if I want to drive on the beach again, I can rent something. Lot of good the heated seats did me last night. LOL I'm out now.... the tow guy came and pulled me out of the muck and onto firmer soil. And now my city slicker Jeep looks like it's been out for a 4WD experience. I'm not gonna clean it for a while now. Oh yeah, you gotta leave all that on it for a while for sure. "I been tearin' it up!"
