  1. I was next to you on the floor last night -- great pics! Great meeting you and thanks so much for posting! Excellent show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. QUOTE (garbo @ Nov 20 2010, 10:27 AM)OMGZ, a man got me into RUSH!!! I fail at life!!! When I went and saw Muse I ran into a Rush fan (basically I saw his shirt). We talked for a while and then he stopped me (I was, like, going a mile a minute. What? Someone had given me coffee and I was excited) and he stared at me and then said, "Wait a minute, but you're a girl." I nearly lifted my shirt and showed him my boobs just to be like, "Yep, I am!" But I decided to keep whatever dignity I had left, which was minimal, and instead just kind of stared blankly and agreed. Oh yeah, and we fist bumped. I like to fist bump people. I feel like this seals us for life, sort of like a blood bond, but not. Don't expect it unless I like you though. I get the same thing when I wear one of my rush concert shirts to the gym. Sometimes guys ask me, "Is that your husband's shirt?" I say, "No, he has his own. This is mine." Usually they just say, "oh" and have a puzzled look.
  3. My husband and I took our 11 and 14 year old sons to this tour (in San Francisco) because we're all major fans. It wasn't like we dragged them them there and they didn't know a thing. We happened to end up in a really heavy smoking area. Some people were acting crazy. But it was a very teachable moment for us. We tried to show them how not to focus on stuff like that and remember the reason you're there -- to see the greatest band in the world. Just tune everything else out and lock into the music! While Rush and Pink Floyd among others have a major drug culture following, there are many of us who enjoy them sober. As long as you're not pushing your own agenda (either way) I don't have a problem with either side of it.
  4. QUOTE (GeddysMullet @ Sep 24 2010, 08:14 PM)Geddy's nose is as always a thing of beauty! Once again, I agree with geddysmullet!
  5. Yes, we have to give the men props on this subject. They have led a lot of us to the world's greatest band. Some of us weren't initally smart enough to figure it out on our own. To those that did -- way to go!
  6. Sorry I messed that up! I meant Afterimage Lock and Key
  7. Nothing wrong with his voice in Bay Area show. Whatever anyone may say about him vocally -- there is absolutely nothing wrong with his hands!!! The best bass player on the planet!
  8. I wish I could track down an old high school boyfriend I had. He came over one day to listen to records and all he brought was his complete colllection of Rush albums (up to Power Windows at that point I think). I just rolled my eyes and didn't listen to a thing he played. I was into Duran Duran and Wham! at the time (yeah I know) and just didn't get it. Now I want to tell him I GET IT!! You were right and I was wrong!
  9. I first heard of Rush in the 6th grade (a very long time ago) and that's all the boys would talk about. I figured people who think burping noises are great entertainment have no taste in music. Wrong!!! I didn't wise up until I bought my husband (long time fan) tix to the snakes and arrows tour. Omg, I totally fell in love with their music right then and there and have been listening to them ever since (trying to catch up for 30 years of ignorance). The time machine tour was beyond excellent. Wish I could see another show. P.S. The best advantage of being female at a Rush concert -- no lines for the bathrooms -- even during intermission!
