  1. QUOTE (Nate2112 @ May 27 2012, 10:56 PM) QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ May 27 2012, 10:53 PM) Nate, I thought of you when I heard this today - a trance version of Jacob's Ladder! Enjoy! The drum beat sounds just like DH. Especially the later tracks! Thanks 1 of the 7!!! You're welcome - you do have to get a minute or two into it to notice what song it is!

  3. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ May 27 2012, 10:00 PM) You know what's really strange? Seven and Seven Is is the sixth track off Feedback. The definition of irony (or is it a coincidence?) See, they should have had 14 tracks - that would have been perfect! Muahahahaha!
  4. Prolly a T-shirt, no idea which. Not Rush, 'cause I don't wear them around the house/as pajamas...I save that for my grubby, worn-out ones
  5. My favorite numbers are 2 (BU2B? I doubt it...I already like Caravan and Headlong Flight better) and 7. Now, from what I've heard about Seven Cities of Gold, it could very well be my favorite, so I voted for it. How cool is it that the song with Seven in the title is track 7? Thanks for making me notice that
  6. Enjoyed hearing Alex talking about Halo Effect and moving on from relationships you thought were great and were really not. I think for me, this song will have a similar vibe to parts of Emotion Detector and Prime Mover that talk about having to make a break in order to get to a better place. Overall, this album is going to be great for the stage of life many of us are at where we're taking stock of where we've been and figuring out how to get where we may want to go in an ever-decreasing amount of time.
  7. For most of the day, it'll be Merrell. Socks or barefoot in the evening when I actually listen to it
  8. QUOTE (CrossedSignals @ May 25 2012, 09:37 PM) QUOTE (Rushman14 @ May 25 2012, 02:21 PM) this I do not like. the latest from Geddy regarding a VT remix: That was an idea but it's now been shifted down. Rather than remix the entire album we might now take a bunch of different songs from albums and get different people to remix them for fun, rather than just do Vapor Trails. It's an idea in flux. Seriously. Rush can't do much to piss me off, but this pisses me off royally. I'd be willing to give it a chance, but I remember how the Rick Rubin remixes of Queen went over - not very well. Not an improvement on the originals in most cases.
  9. Marathon Emotion Detector Bravado Middletown Dreams Between The Wheels The Weapon Subdivisions The Analog Kid Prime Mover Cut To The Chase Merch: My BTLS T-shirt that has their picture on it Something associated with the band: An old T-shirt of Geddy's, doesn't matter which Island name: The Fountain of Lamneth
  10. I love it; it's definitely going to be up there for me, but there are so many I love, it's got good competition! Funny story...a customer and his business partner were into work. Customer tells me he's finally heard the new Rush song on the Internet, and likes it, but that it goes on a bit too long. I told him there's a radio edit he might like that's about five minutes long. Business partner says to us, "Five minutes? Aren't radio edits usually like, three minutes?" I answer, "Yeah, but this is Rush...when you start out at over seven minutes, you only get down to five."
  11. Not much to report here, but I did finish up FBN on Friday with In The End. The slower, acoustic-y beginning of this song reminds me quite a bit of the format of Before and After from the debut. Love Geddy's intense vocals here, and the various guitar sounds. I've listened to other Rush songs here and there, but I look forward to getting into COS the next time I have a long listen.
  12. Six pairs of Rush socks, two sets of Rush playing cards in a Rush tin, three pairs of shoelaces, a Rash long sleeved tee...but I don't think those are that silly. If I had more time and inclination, I'd love to make Rush rag dolls or high-quality paper dolls with authentic looking clothes.
  13. Okay, you got your vote for Madrigal! Geddy wouldn't have trouble singing it, and I have a huge soft spot for it.
  14. Someone in the TRAC group on Facebook theorized that this may be Geddy's new T-shirt.
  15. Cut To The Chase, but Between Sun and Moon, Cold Fire, and Double Agent are up there too.
  16. Since One Little Victory has been done a bit, I'll go with Sweet Miracle.
  17. Our future still looks brighter than our past

  19. I have a feeling my vinyl and CD may not be here by release date, so the listening party might be my first time. The only trouble is, the audio gets choppy. If my vinyl is here, it'll be that; if the CD is here, that; if both, probably the CD (all folowing along with liner notes). Then the listening party later in the evening.
  20. I'm going to be an optimist for the first time in my life and say no.
  21. Twice or three times...I have two listening parties I want to try to hit, but because the audio usually can't keep up because my interent's too slow, I'll probably listen to my vinyl or CD too (if they're here on time).
