  1. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Jun 21 2011, 03:17 AM) Well, first of all, Section 101, Row 4 is the 4th row back from the stage! Great seats! http://www.stubpass.com/data/maps/8250.jpg Not sure how far back the seats will start but this is where they usually do: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/qgdWz48giKA/0.jpg I've been to The Gorge a few times. It's not my favorite venue because it's always hot and dusty but for Rush, I'll deal. Be sure to bring UNOPENED water bottles of one liter or less so you don't have to pay the inflated prices once inside. You WILL want water. The trip from the parking lot down to the seats is down a rather steep drive but they provide a van to shuttle folks who can't make that walk. If you ask an attendant in the lot, they'll get you to the shuttle pick-up. The view is the only thing I like about the place. It's also a favorite venue of the band for the same reason: http://evilmonito.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/7f44869ad6773db6ed6dff0b13aa02d4-410x272.jpg We're over in 103, Row 15. Hope to see you there! when you look at the TICKETMASTER Interactive Beta Map, it shows the aisles on the left and right (separating 101-102-103) to be farther away from the stage. In fact it shows sec 102 covers entire stage and More. wITH 101 & 103 ON THE EDGE OF (CORNER) STAGE!!
  2. I heard that in Sec 101 IS far right, past the corner even, of the stage Geddy's side. I think Sec 102 takes up the whole stage AND more. Is your seats more toward the seat 1 area or a seat 18 area? Seat 1 is far right !!
  3. Anyone know any last minute tips on getting near stage tickets from brokers, whoever for a reasonable price? Can't afford $600 per seat.
  4. Wife and I are going to Chicago for the 3rd show this tour. We are flying out of New Orleans Monday. Hoping to meet up with a few Rush fans Monday night, or Tuesday before show. Anyone have ideas on where to meet.
  5. Anyone know someone, that knows someone, that might have some good seats for the New Orleans show that are not too pricey?? We love Rush, just don't want to spend savings to get decent seats.
  6. My wife and I are BIG time RUSH FANS, who is'nt right(on this sight). We have seen them 4 times in the last 5 years, New Orleans-2008,Houston- 2008 & 2010, Syracuse-2010. Chicago,Next week 4/12/11 . We only spend the money and time if we can buy within 1st 5 rows, not to say any other seat will not do, we just like the adrenaline of being up close. We would sit anywhere for RUSH! It IS worth the time and energy buying pre-sale. Sometimes it's hard to understand how it all works. We would love to see them in New Orleans, Austin . We just missed the few hours it takes during pre sale to get good seats. Do most sellers, scalpers, buy for profit SOB's drop there prices just before show date or ON the day or what. LOOKING FOR ADVICE IN LOUISIANA ??!!
  7. QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ Feb 4 2011, 10:23 AM)Instead of flying to a show couldn't you have saved the money that you would have spent on airline tickets and put it towards VIP tickets or broker tickets for a show within driving distance? That makes more sense to me My wife and I are in our mid 40s, no kids, and love to travel. We are SUPER rush fans and have seen them from Florida to the NYS Fair, Boston to Vegas and 20 other areas. We always try incorporate a 4-5 day vacation somewhere we are new to with our bi-yearly fix of RUSH. We have been to New Orleans too many times worth discussing(75 miles away). Just trying to get feedback on new area. Sense- less in Baton Rouge, LoL
  8. My wife and I are having second thoughts about this Venue--CHICAGO We got good seats (PRE-SALE). We are flying In from Baton Rouge. We tried closer venues, just Could not get good seats for face value. Can anyone share with us some good points about This venue, already bought plane fair, just wish now We would have researched more on area. Can anyone reassure us we made a GOOD CHOICE?? Seats too good to pass up (row 3 center) PLEASE, anyone have info to share ??THANKS
  9. My wife and I got to see 2 shows last year- NYS Fair & The Woodlands, TX. We are also going to Chicago in April 2011. Last year was pretty easy geting good seats, as long as you bought pre-sale or soon after! This year is another story. If you don't buy on PRE-SALE DAYS, your chances of getting good seats are SLIM TO NONE & SLIM LEFT TOWN.The Ticket Broker Business is BOOM TOWN! These past two years have been Everything Rush. YES IT IS ABOUT TIME!! BUT, when the average RUSH fan can only get pretty good seats through STUB-HUB & about 25 other brokers online, it sucks. This should be regulated even somewhat. All these call centers with 100s of people just BUYING, BUYING, BUYING then SELLING for 2, 3, 4 times what they paid is not fair. I KNOW "WHAT IS FAIR". We need to go back to the standing in line 18 hours, 2 days if that's what it takes. Yes the web is convenient, BUT, give all of us a fair chance. I'm certain if Geddy, Lifeson and The Professor could fix this they WOULD DO IT. GOOD LUCK TICKET HUNTING. YOU WILL NEED IT!! Sincerely, fans from Baton Rouge, LA GEAUX TIGERS !!!
  10. My wife and I saw 2 shows last year, NYS FAIR & THE WOODLANDS,TX. We really had no problems Getting good seats at both venues. This year is Not the case. Unless you buy tickets pre-sale, Your chance of getting really good seats are slim To none and slim left town. The brokers buy them Up!
  11. we told everyone we talked to that we could send Documentation on exactly what her sight was limited to They just never wanted us to prove it. We told them that They could talk to her Dr, they just told us that it was not Needed
  12. My wife who is blind (very limited vision) called and talked to Marty in the Box Office before Christmas about getting some seats near the stage. He told her to call back 01/07/2011. When she called back Marty refused to talk to her and had a guy named Jim do it. After 20-30 minutes of very heated discussion about not having a seating set for floor seats and so on, he finally told her " OK, I GOT YOU ON 4TH ROW CENTER OF STAGE (JUST RIGHT OF CENTER) SEATS 11-12. When you look at center stage it should be Sec. 2 .. After not receiving tickets after 10 business days we called back and Marty answers phone. We explain situation to him and he calls us liars. He says Jim would have never told us that and we bought seats in the blind/deaf/wheelchair section---Sec 113. This section is above the stage/ level 2. What do we do?? The tickets came in and of course the seats are not what we bought. We feel that we are being deceived. What is the rules on re-selling tickets? Section 113 is the disabled seating section. CAN ANYONE HELP US ???
  13. My wife is almost totally blind. She has central vision only and if she is not within 15-20 feet from stage, she sees figures and movement. Her sight is blurry at best. Anyone know about SEC 113 --Lifeson's side of stage, we think. We bought seats on floor(so says Jim in ticket office). When the tickets did'nt arrive by 10 days later, Marty in ticket office says "sorry I had wrong zip code", sent tix we did'nt order, then hung up !!! Looked up zip code, NO SUCH ZIP !! we don't know if we should go now or not. Anyone know about Sec 113 row 4 ??? How are the seats ??? Any suggestions ???? REALLY PISSED IN BATON ROUGE !!
  14. Die hard Rush fans have noticed Rush is Everywhere! For the past year, Rush has done more than all the past years combined!! Commercials, TV interviews, Stars on Hollywood, best Documentary nominations and so much more. Does anyone get the feeling that this might be the Beginning of something or the End of something?? Maybe going out with a BANG or just the band finally after all these years, Getting the respect they have always deserved? ANY THOUGHTS?? Truly #1 Fans, The Burns Fans from Baton Rouge
  15. Is Rush playing THE ERWIN CENTER or ??? We like getting our ducks in a row , having no surprizes near venue day. Good arena or GREAT arena , WE WILL BE THERE!!
  16. O M G , my wife and I saw them at NYS Fair 2010. We had 2nd row seats on Lifeson side. I almost crapped my pants, first explosion. During Farcry my wife fell to the ground, WOW . We where not expecting that. In Houston we knew about BOOM in Farcry, just was'nt sure which song the other BOOM was in. Now we know it was Marathon (by way of this forum).
  17. YES, we're going to see RUSH again, 3rd time in 9 months. Our family thinks we've lost our minds. We have no kids at 43 years old. So what is the big deal. Yes we are from Baton Rouge, and yes my wife is blind with very limited vision, we figure as long as the money holds why not spend all (most) our disposable money on RUSH Tickets. The United Center sold us SEC-2, ROW-4, SEATS just right of center. These seats are prime seats for sure. We bought early (pre-sale). The reason for writing today is : Does anyone know just how far 4th row is from the stage, is 1st row within arms reach or 8-10 feet away. We are happy about 4th row, just need to know Exactly how far we will be from Geddy, Lifeson and yes THE Professor. This letter is way too long. New Orleans (70 miles away) and Austin dates are coming up, and yes we will be there. We love RUSH. We love this Forum. Any suggestions on Chicago will be appreciated. Truly, Wayne & Karin B.
  18. My wife and I flew to NYS FAIR for the show!! We live in Baton Rouge. We had 2nd row seats just left of center. It was the best show, being that close didn't hurt either. My wife is blind, she walks with a visual aide cane (Very limited Sight). Now we are headed to the Woodlands. We bought too late to get parking tix, staying 2.5 miles away. ANYBODY HAVE SUGGESTIONS ON PARKING?? Wife has handicapped tags, was told by Pavillion get there by 10:00 am for spot ???
  19. I'm new to this sight and also gonna be up front for fair show. All this talk about rushkid and front row crashers makes me sick. If she is such a pyscho fan, why is she allowed to post on this sight? Isn't there a max on ## of post she can do. But as far as the crashing she is doing, she MUST have a big set of balls to repeat this conduct ! Or, she really is a true hardcore fan!
  20. I read somewhere that the seats up front have a limited view of the rear area of the stage. Seating is on the track, and also read that stage is so high that it's hard to see, mainly the rear where PEART IS. Someone please tell me this isn't true. My wife and I will be devastated !! Anybody out there know for sure ? Someone on this sight said RUSH has never played at the NYS fair, is this true ?? Nevertheless, we are praying we can see all of the stage. If true, why was so much time and energy spent on getting 2nd row seats TICKETS: Section=TRACK, ROW=2, Seats=13-14 Admission=AFULL 118X (yes, wife is legally blind, very limited central vision only) Thanks for all the replies, THE BURNS--Baton Rouge, LA
  21. HAS ANYONE SEEN THEM AT THE NYS FAIR? MY WIFE AND I HAVE ALWAYS SEEN THEM AT INSIDE VENUES. HOW IS THE SOUND OVERALL VS A INSIDE ARENA, STADIUM, ETC. WE'RE COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS TILL SHOWTIME--9/2 7:30 PM !!!!!! WE ARE FLYING FROM BATON ROUGE TO SEE THEM ON THE 2ND ROW (BOUGHT TIX PRE SALE) EVERYTIME WE TALK ABOUT RUSH, WATCH ANY OF THERE VIDEOS (LIVE) I FEEL ALL NERVOUS LIKE IM GOING TO MESS MYSELF !! IS THIS NORMAL? SEE YA'LL AT THE FAIR ! !
