  1. Any show we have had the luck to see, we have always stood the ENTIRE SHOW. We sing and dance, even air drum and guitar.. Our seats have always been within the first 5 rows on the floor. This tour CA we have seats in the visually acessable area 1st Sec. Above floor next to stage 106 Geddy's side for HOUSTON. 108 in Universal City 1st row. Sec d in Atlanta. Has anyone had a problem with NOT being able to stand for the show. On the floor everyone stands. What about the other sections besides floor seats?
  2. I told her it's hard to read. She said it took her 30 minutes to type it. So, I shut up!! She finds it hard enough to type, so a few mis spells I can live with.
  3. QUOTE (bytor1965 @ May 16 2012, 03:46 PM) I have 2 Tickets for the Chicago show available. Sec 1 row 19 Seats 7-8. $250 each obo. I got the Vip special for myself and need help paying for it. Help prevent a divorce! Message me. Not too cool man, face value + fees = the right way !! The only Rush Forum way !!
  4. You tell'em baby, "and the milk of paradise"!!
  5. My wife of 26 years has vision issues. She struggles with her sight on a DAILY basis. I get upset and sometimes hostile when it comes to people not knowing what they say. In your statement you asking (theoretically) why would someone like her want to go to a rock show. I just spoke(typed) out anger, for that I am sorry. I'm sure you didn't mean to be ugly. Just me being ME. Talking before thinking! From 1 RUSH fan to another, IM SORRY!! RUSH ON !!!
  6. To: J2112YYZ. When I first read your post I did'nt catch it. You must not have anyone that you care about who has a visual or hearing impairment. If you did you would not ask why someone with above handicaps would want to go to a rock show. Duh, for the same reason you go to them!! Are you dumb or just stupid?? I really feel sorry for you and others like you ! When my wife read your post she started to cry. She is visually impaired, having only central vision. 15-20 % of her vision left. I'm not here to judge, only god and you do that. Sorry for the harsh words! I just don't know why people feel like that. I apologize J2112YYZ. please forgive me??
  7. My wife and I was at the NYS FAIR SHOW also. It was pretty sweet seeing someone sign the whole show. Our seats was 1 row in front of her. When the show started EVERYONE rushed the stage. Our 5th row seats turned into 10th row. Totally lack of security. Still a good show.
  8. The ADA LAWS says -- The venue cannot ask you to prove your impairment. They are not allowed to Even ask what your impairment is. So I can see how easy it COULD be to get away with it. The law also says -- They must hold Ada seats in each section for impaired. Once all other seats are gone, the ADA seats can be sold. How brokers get ADA seats is a mystery to me!!
  9. We know Rush fans that lie and request accessible ADA seat JUST to get closer to the stage. SHAME ON YOU!! You know who you are!! With people like you the truly wheel chair, deaf and visual impaired don't have a chance of getting seats they legally qualify for. The next time you think about purchasing ADA seats to a show, ponder this: what If your spouse, Child or parent was handicap and you was excited about going to a RUSH show only to find out that ALL the seating for ADA was purchased Within the first 3-4 days they went on sale. Not only 1 venue but most venues. We talked to a REGIONAL MANAGER for Live Nation (North West Region) and she confirmed what we expected, ADA (accessible seats) sales ARE abused very much !! So PLEASE, Be a thinker NOT A STINKER. God bless and HAPPY RUSH ING !!!!
  10. My wife and I are from Baton Rouge, LA. We are the couple that has the Red-"Got Lifeson", "Got Geddy" t-shirts on an wife walks with visual aid Cane, 15% sight only. We went to 5 shows TM tour: NYS FAIR 2010 THE WOODLANDS. 2010 CHICAGO. 2011 NEW ORLEANS 2011 THE GORGE. 2011 ** By far the best! Out pics showed up on Rush.com site. This tour we have Tix for: ATLANTA, GA UNIVERSAL CITY, CA PHOENIX, AZ HOUSTON,TX we plan to also go to 2 Canada shows!! On the past tour we met a guy in New Orleans that truly defines a MAJOR RUSH FAN !! He was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet, he just happened to be a RUSH FAN. My wife and I thought we where Big Fans. Our family thinks we are Crazy! This guy went to every USA Show in 2011, with the exception of 1, Or maybe 2, I think? He is a little mysterious and a lot CRAZY in a good way. Yes I'm jealous a lot. I will not mention his name, he keeps a low profile. He would like it that way. Lol We will see him again in California, at the Gibson!!
  11. Is there anyone that can answer this question?? Do the Presales get a equal allotment of seats to sale. Since Citi Presale starts 1 day after musictoday, does Citi Card only have what is not SOLD OUTyet, or do they have a # of seats In EACH SEC they can sell. Finally, on general sale, does live nation/ticketmaster have a # of tickets they can sell in each section?? Thanks
  12. I don't think this is the reason WE kept getting NO tixs for Houston. I had my IPad using my wife's email and my laptop using my email And ZERO seats. I thought the email thing might be a issue, so I changed addresses several times during tries. I have 4-5 addresses I can use. (I know a little silly huh)
  13. After 45 minutes on my iPad I couldn't even get 2 tickets floor. 1 hour before for Atlanta, I easily got 8th row Alex (4). Does anyone know if the venue gives a allotment for each pre-sale. Or does the first Presale get best seats?
  14. I have tried for 2 seats on floor for 36 minutes. No tickets I was on at 12:00 exactly!!!

  16. Thanks a lot. We have been on Alex's side on most shows we have been to. The 1 exception would be The Gorge "Time Machine". We got lucky to get 3rd row, right in front of Geddy. We are from Baton Rouge, LA . We choose a venue and try to make a vacation of it. Any suggestions on Things to Do?? Thanks for everything!! CA or BUST
  17. My wife and I just purchased tickets SEC 8. ROW AA SEATS 1-2. These seats look mighty close to the EDGE of the stage. Can any of my fellow RUSH FANS clue me in to this SECTION. My wife is legally blind, and needs to be somewhat close enough to see the stage. Not so close that she is on the edge with a obstructed view. THANKS !!
  18. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jan 14 2012, 07:05 PM)Only people that have been fans since the Signals tour are allowed to change their usernames. Sorry, you started just a little too late. HA Your not for real are you fellow RUSH fanatic ?? If so, your a little later than me. lol Not by much -- 10 years in fact. You did make me say "WHAT"??? Any ideas on how to change user??
  19. My wife and I joined this forum back around 18 months ago. We wish now we would have chose a better username. Is it even possible to change it ??? We want cool ones !! We have been fans since GRACE UNDER PRESSURE TOUR. I didn't think it was even possible for RUSH to improve with age but, THEY SURE HAVE !!!
  20. Hi, I am Bayou Bengal's Hubby. (kkb2323) Sorry it took so long to post. Thank You to all the members who have posted on This subject. All the shows we where able to go to, (5) SYRACUSE, THE WOODLANDS, CHICAGO(united center), NEW ORLEANS & THE GORGE, the one venue that really stands out is N. O., LA--75 miles from home. Yes we had to go Through the process of emailing TM and waiting for a response. N. O. was the only venue that ask us for proof of wife's disability, In which we ha no problem in providing. The venue (the Arena) still put us on the 15th row. Not bad for me, my wife Could not see the stage. With her sight, she does fall into a certain category that most venues are not quite sure how to handle. She has to be close to the stage. When you tell people she is Blind, they are thinking "if she is blind, why does she need to be close? She can't See anyway". She is sight impaired or Legally Blind. We tried to go to the Cleavand show, the venue told her " your blind ? Did you know they are making a video? I don't think the band would want a blind person with a cane sitting up front, you will be in the way" . After a few choice words, she told her "The band would love for any fan to be up front!!! In fact NEW ORLEANS was the show that we was back a ways. All the others where within 5 rows from stage. The United Center Box Office was the most rude, obnoxious, unpleasant people you would ever want to talk to!! We have learned that in order to handle anything that involved Sight impairs seating, you need to ask to speak to the venue Sales Manager or someone who handles "special needs" patrons. Once they realize your not just going to accept just any seat they think you would be happy with, they start really trying to find seats that WILL make you more comfortable. The Gorge was two of the best seats we had all tour. Try contacting their box office. We called 10 people just to get a person to talk to. By luck we found a phone number to a person with Live Nation, that's who we Will call next time they show at The Gorge.
  21. My wife and I have been RUSH FANS since "Grace under Pressure". We saw them 5 times TM TOUR!! What a Tour! Over the years The Power Trio have stayed somewhat private about their home life. Peart writes about himself(sorta). Does anyone have any info on Geddy & Alex that they would like To share?? Kids?? Hobbies?? Home life?? Likes??? Dislikes?? Just curious !!
  22. Being MEGA RUSH FANS, My wife and went to 5 venues 2010-2011-(NYS FAIR, The Woodlands, UC Center-Chicago, New Orleans & The Gorge). Every single show was GREAT. We had 2nd-3rd row seats for each venue. Well enough about us!! The talk on most RUSH sites-blogs is that Rush is going to tour starting next year. Yes they are working on CLOCKWORK ANGELS & yes they are hotter now than I can ever remember with the major success of THE TIME MACHINE TOUR, Late Night TV, The Documentary BEYOND THE LIGHTED STAGE, The RUSH STAR in Hollywood. The Commercial for AT&T etc, etc. It just seems that a Tour next year seems too much too soon. NOW, if it happens that they DO tour 2012, We will try to see even more venues. Because we never get bored with anything RUSH. You don't have to be DIE HARDS to enjoy RUSH-LIVE or recorded. ENOUGH said, WHAT DO YOU THINK, RUSH TOUR IN 2012 ?????
  23. OH, I forgot to tell ya'll we also went to New Orleans to see Rush(met D. Loccarini & his doggie) even bought him lunch at P. F. Changs. Then we had to have 1 more fix, at THE GORGE--George, WA We had 2nd row seats and even made it on the RUSH.com site. Wife is on GORGE04 & both on GORGE09 with our signs------RUSH FANS FOREVER!!!
  24. THANKS!! to everybody for all the good advice before the show. The show was GREAT, the view was GREAT, the beer was GREAT!!!! We would do it all over tommorrow if RUSH was going to be there. I noticed on some of the replies, everybody had a different views on the neighborhood around the UC. We did have a little hard time getting a cab after the show. Only because we waited 15-20 minutes before leaving or seats. My wife walks with a visual aide cane so I wanted to give her a little more space. With the crowd, it would have been like after a LSU TIGERS game, In DEATH VALLEY!! **CROWDED**. We did stay at the HILTON-MAG. MILE-near The Hancock Building. OMG the view from the 29th floor was awesome!! Lake Michigan was in 3/4 of our window. We did not expect the view, but when we called Hotel at 11:30 am to see if we could make a early check in, THEY SAID YES!! We stayed there 5 nights, N_I_C_E !!! The bill wasn'nt nice. We will be back!! P.S. We got to know the doorman, he did open our door MANY times in 5 days. On our last day, we told him about our RUSH visit. He did'nt even know RUSH was in town. (right, a RUSH FAN??) We stopped in a BEST BUY-(Hancock Plaza) and bought him a copy of the RUSH Documentary "Beyond The Lighted Stage" & give it to him. He was a Rush fan indeed, he just had a phase in his life where he strayed a little off course from RUSH(Just like us-96'--2006). He just needed a little RUSH "kick start" to get him back on track. We really felt good about that!!
