  1. In that video, Geddy does a gun motion with his hand at the band. Maybe HE knocked the mic off, not the explosion itself. Either way, I wish I could see his expression while it was happening. He was probably laughing, all things considered. I knew it was coming, and I did a fist-pump too.
  2. Neil's been giving his wife drum lessons all these years. DRUM-OFF! Winner take all. And she pulls off the amazing upset.
  3. I think we can be fairly confident it won't be a "Farewell" show. That wouldn't be very special, and so anti-climatic. Why announce a farewell show the last night of a tour that wasn't announced as a farewell tour. So many people would be so pissed off. I'm betting it's going to be either all of CA, or an orchestra show at the Bowl. Geddy's been wanting to do it for a long time. He even mentioned it in a recent interview (I think) maybe they finally decided to do it.
  4. QUOTE (Jean Simmons @ Dec 1 2010, 06:33 PM) QUOTE (micgtr71 @ Dec 1 2010, 04:47 PM) They did some of those albums in a few days back in the 70s so maybe they will finish this one after the new year? Yeah, they have to record like a zillion different guitar tracks a day for a year to get near to finish, together all the "Wooooaaaaahhhhhhhssssss" and it takes like so forever to record the Kitchen sink and get that into the mix too these days. Don't forget recording an army of Geddy's to fill in behind his main voice. That must take forever and a half. The bass tracks are probably the quickest to record, because it's only one solid track, not 14 different intervals of bass parts. At this point, with the way they are as a live band, they're better off surprising us one day and just playing all of CwA live, recording it, and releasing it as the official "Clockwork Angels" album.
  5. Prime Mover Half the World Dreamline The Pass Distant Early Warning Ceiling Unlimited Earthshine But there's like 0.01% chance. My prediction: Presto Stick It Out replaced with Distant Early Warning Natural Science (which appears late in the 1st Set, or in the 2nd)
  6. I honestly can't believe they made the 2010 leg a "trial run'. "It's ". How could they not expect success. It's about the money, no doubt, we all know it. But I get the feeling that's not their #1 priority (may #2 or #3. 4 would be pushing it) I know people in the touring industry. Scheduling dates is a long process that can take months. I will tell you this now. Releasing these dates at the end of November means they would have had to started scheduling at the latest mid-August. They've had this thing planned since before the 2010 tour ended.
  7. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the fact that I *think* they are probably going to play a show in Philadelphia (whether it be Philly or Camden). But I can't count on it, and I don't want to wait and lose out on good Hershey tickets. June/July date would probably mean Camden, and I'd rather see them in an arena. Unless they don't have all the post- Euro dates set yet (which I understand, I know how tour scheduling works) I don't see the logic for holding them back.
  8. QUOTE (rummut71 @ Nov 23 2010, 09:50 AM) I will take this moment to say 'no spoilers' certainly does not apply since there will be 0.0000000000000000000000 changes to the setlist... I wouldn't be surprised if they switched some things around for the N.A. shows, then went back to the 2010 set list in Europe. I can't see Neil agreeing to "Stick it Out" for a second year in a row.
  9. The 2011 Time Machine Tour will have more NA dates announced soon. I can't believe people still don't get it yet. It's been made public on the website that there will be dates before and after the European leg. It is going to happen.
  10. I hope they play in Philadelphia and not Camden this time around. The Camden venue is poorly located, has the worst acoustics I've ever heard, and is too compact. Philly is a great big arena with awesome acoustics and it's indoor. Based on the timeline that it looks like, they may be in the area at a time where they can only play Philly because weather conditions wouldn't permit a gig in Camden. I hope so, anyway.
  11. It definitely changed from R30 to S&A. It didn't change from S&A(1 and 2) to TM, but then again, I didn't expect it to. I don't mind either. As long as they play the song, I'm happy.
  12. I just read the album discriptions, and thought about it before I even read them. I realized, I could fit under a bunch of different albums. Vapor Trails S&A Counterparts MP PoW HYF That's just a start to what I could be.
  13. I can't believe Neil is agreeing to all this touring. He must be really happy about the way things are going. I agree with some, touring JUST Europe doesn't make sense. And playing repeat cities, it is likely. Heck, they used to play the same city twice on the same tour back in the day.
  14. Haven't posted here, so I'll give my .02 worth- I think his voice is fine. It's nowhere near what it used to be, but it's still good enough. I can kind of sing like Geddy, and I have no problems with it. Yes, I know, I haven't been singing as long as he has or near the amount of times he has to. In my opinion, it's 100% up to him to decide when his voice has had enough. If he thinks it's good to go, it's good to go.
  15. Rahter than a set list, here are the top 10 songs I'd like to hear next year (that probably won't get played in the end anyway) but here we go: (No specific order or ranking) 1. Nobody's Hero 2. Mystic Rhythms 3. The Pass 4. Manhattan Project 5. Half the World 6. Ceiling Unlimited 7. Mission 8. Earthsine 9. Where's My Thing 10. Dreamline and The Present Tense Start Today (yea that's right, Alex and Geddy each get one song from their own solo records) That's just a start............
  16. QUOTE (Ted Barchetta @ Nov 12 2010, 03:09 AM) QUOTE (GuitarPlyr01 @ Nov 1 2010, 10:54 AM) He was having problems with breaking strings. Especially on the Fenders during "Vital Signs". A brand new string breaks the first time it's used, THAT's the tech's fault. In defense of the Tech, Restringing a top loading (as in; the strings don't go through the guitar's body) Fender Telecaster is a pain in the ass. Even an experienced technician or player is gonna break a string with that particular guitar. It's just the end result of a frustratingly difficult bridge design. Oh I know, I own a Fender Tele. Replacing Strings is a pain. Replacing them on my other 3 Les Paul's is cake, but that has a much better bridge to deal with, I know. But I don't even have the problems Al had. I can go 2 or 3 months with the same strings on mine, playing every day.
  17. I sent out a great picture I took at the Camden show and "Roadshow" to be signed at the Holmdel gig. Lost hope when it didn't come back after about two weeks. Then, exactly 3 weeks after the show, I come home to find the picture sitting on my table, signed by all 3 of the guys, each over their position in the picture. They shipped it out when they were in Boston after that break in September, held onto it the whole time. Still haven't gotten "Roadshow" back, but I have an idea of what happend to it. I'll try to post the picture.
  18. Obviously, both have backups. I know for a fact Alex carries two or three of the Cherry Sunburst Les Paul's. If I remember correctly, one is normal, one gets a nice acoustic sound (see Workin them Angels) and another is a spare. I honestly thought he'd have an extra Tele or PRS, just in case (and on this past tour, seemed like he was using backups more than usual) Geddy looks like he carries a spare or two as well. PS- Geddy's best bass sound (just my opinion) was on Rush in Rio. Where'd that sound go? Must have been the Henhouse
  19. QUOTE (Sir Lerxst @ Nov 1 2010, 11:36 AM) QUOTE (GuitarPlyr01 @ Oct 31 2010, 08:33 PM) I don't think they used dolly camera's for their normal shows. They do. Its completely normal. I honestly never remember seeing them. Just normal, immobile ones down front. Guess I should look harder next tour.
  20. He was having problems with breaking strings. Especially on the Fenders during "Vital Signs". A brand new string breaks the first time it's used, THAT's the tech's fault.
  21. Around 2:45-2:50, I see a camera on a dolly up at the stage. I don't think they used dolly camera's for their normal shows. Did this show get filmed? Pro-Shot. I didn't hear anything about it being filmed.
