Well, you don't want their attention and effort diverted from the league, anyway!1 point

That sucks. I'm no fan of some of his post NFL stuff, but he was a great QB.1 point

I'm really enjoying both, but not in the way i obsessed over EFMB nearly ten years ago. but I have plenty I appreciate. HN has actually super grown on me lately, I think it's quote stunning to be honest. The new one...I really love the album from track 6 on. The first half? It's okay.1 point

I remember when our science teacher dumped some mercury on the table and let us play with it. Now the hazmat team shows up if that happened. Science isn't as fun unless it's a little dangerous. ....but I digress. RIP.1 point

There is no greater disparity in style between two players from the same franchise at the same position than Morris and Nottingham, except for, I guess, Peyton Manning and Anthony Richardson. Although Nottingham did score on the greatest counter play in NFL history in 1974, so he'll always have that.1 point

I think over here Death Cab are a good deal bigger than Jimmy. Most people just know The Middle, which is honestly tragic, cuz I love that song to death but Sweetness and A Praise Chorus are easily just as radio ready and awesome, and people don’t know them! Meanwhile just mentioning Death Cab around alt/indie/emo fans is sorta like mentioning Led Zeppelin around classic rockers.1 point

Jimmy...I have no idea how they are the band they are with such a small fanbase. If there was any justice in the world, they would have the same reach as Green Day or My Chemical Romance! But I guess being a cult concern is no small feat. Those of us who love them...we really LOVE them. Same goes for DCFC and Copeland.1 point

Me too!!! I’ve seen them do shorter sets twice now, and I love them, but I’d really love to see them have the space to pull out something like 23 or Just Watch The Fireworks.1 point

I would love to see Jimmy headline. I miss them so much, I'd love a new album!1 point

Been watching the Tragically Hip documentary on Prime. It's really well done and that's gotten me back into the band lately. Also been deep on pre-Dark Side Pink Floyd too.1 point

Last week it was Death Cab, Jimmy Eat World, and Liz Phair, in prep for HFStival where I saw them all on Saturday. Fantastic show, except Jimmy had technical issues and I think they must have cut a couple songs because of them since they didn’t play anything from Clarity. But! They were still great.1 point

Mastodon: I've been on a real Mastodon kick lately, I'm thinking they might have the most spectacular discography in all of metal. I could make a defense for each and every single album being a masterwork. 1. Emperor Of Sand 2. Crack The Skye 3. Blood Mountain 4. Leviathan 5. Hushed And Grim 6. Remission 7. Once More 'Round The Sun 8. The Hunter1 point

My Guitar God Life, by Alex Lifeson Chapter 1: The New Kid With The Big Nose Is Pretty Cool Chapter 3: Ace Frehley Had Good Shit Chapter 4: Aerosmith Are Tools. Chapter 5: I Had This One F***ing Dream Chapter 6: I like playing short songs. Money's great too. Chapter 7: These Keyboard Songs Are Really Lame Chapter 8: Hash makes Tuna Casserole extra special (and other cobbled together recipes from the back of the tour bus). Chapter 10: The Ritz-Carlton is overrated!1 point

Former Detroit Lion linebacker Joe Schmidt passes away at 92. No CoD given Joe was on the Lions last NFL championship team in 1957, and was also head coach of the team. Rest well, Joe. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2024/09/12/lions-icon-joe-schmidt-hall-of-fame-linebacker-dies-at-age-92/75193572007/1 point
