  4. Their best album is always a matter of opinion. Even the "experts" will disagree, as they also just give their opinions. The first three compact discs I bought back in the early 80's were Moving Pictures, The Dark Side of The Moon, and Led Zeppelin IV. So, according to Me, those three albums are the greatest albums ever made.

  6. I always think that Heroes must have been affected by that cover, as in the seventies lots of covers similar were pulled from shelves etc. And I love album artwork. An album is a full package, and when the artist nails a design that fits the content, it's magic.

  8. Fleetwood Mac- Bare Trees In my version of the world, this album turned FM into superstars. Fleetwood Mac- Penguin A lot of fans hate this album. I like it. Fleetwood Mac- Heroes Are Hard To Find Atrocious artwork, brilliant music and songs.

  9. Rik emmett deserves more credit my friend. Tremendous singer and lead guitarist. A band i feel is often kinda tossed off as rush lite. but honestly they're not alike. to my ears anyway. Mick

  10. Gave UFO another listen and they just don't connect with me enough to listen to on a regular basis. Lots of talent, but just not for me.

  11. UFO- Obsession I can't help but think of UFO as having everything a classic rock fan could want. Their best albums are just overruning with great riffs, solos, hooks, arrangements, vocals. And they have a broad appeal. Fans of Styx, Rush, Van Halen, Boston, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, even modern favourites like Black Stone Cherry or Alter Bridge: their is JOY to find in this bands discography. I'm really happy that I found that radio station that plays music like this. It means I can finally praise the radio for something 😄

  12. So is it, even with all the overplaying, overpraising, and overparsing, Pink Floyd's best album? Or just their most famous one? I wish I could listen to DSOTM with virgin ears again, just to _hear_ it like any other album.

  13. I also really hate Scorpions pedo-friendly artwork for Virgin Killer. I love that album, but I can't understand what the label was thinking. The band didn't approve it.

  14. The Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang The Rolling Stones - The Brussels Affair. Early 70s Stones live albums are so great because their discography was exploding with "must play," songs. The run of albums from Beggars Banquet to Goats Head Soup does not have a single wasted track.

  16. Same here. I think Rik Emmett is extremely under rated as a guitarist. Dude was doing EVH stuff before EVH. The solo in Rock n Roll Machine is so f***ing insane!

  20. It's all very well to laugh at the Military, but, when one considers the meaning of life, it is a struggle between alternative viewpoints of life itself, and without the ability to defend one's own viewpoint against other perhaps more aggressive ideologies, then reasonableness and moderation could, quite simply, disappear.

  29. Constructively selfish...because it means you can watch them as they return to the feeder? Not so selfish? Maybe not "survival of the species friendly" but with everything else going on in the world, yup, why not put down some seeds for our fluttery friends

  30. Being able to fill the bird feeders. The birds in my region need all the help they can get so doing that was my constructively selfish moment of the day.

  32. I love "Do What You Like " off Blind Faith's album. Yeah, it has a drum solo but Clapton's guitar work/solo is amazing. I'm going to listen now.

  34. OK, so Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was pretty good. Better than I had expected. A few lame lines here and there. One or two editing faux-pas. Several redundant epic battles at the end. Frequently hearing Scott and Cassie yelling after each other (DAD! CASSIE!! DAD! CASSIE!!) was a bit tiresome. But everything else was pretty good! The amazing world of the Quantum Realm was stunning. All the different species were great. Lord Krylar's restaurant reminded me of Douglas Adams's Restaurant At The End of The Universe. Jonathan Majors was really good as Kang. M.O.R.D.O.K. was a hoot! One of the best lines was I give Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania a B. Quite a ride, with a few bumps, but still a good show.
