  1. Rush- Clockwork Angels I can't believe how incredible this album is. Eleven years since it came out, and it is easy to now see how high up the list it really is of their best albums. Definitely in my top ten, nestled comfortably next to my top five. Just a really adventurous, exciting album with a lot of heart and great lyrics.

  4. I think we all saw this was coming, but it's still sad. (I hope Zumbi can get a refund. ). Sounds like Sharon is working on ideas so the fans can still see him. Vegas residency? From CNN- "Ozzy Osbourne announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows, and said his touring career is over because he “is not physically capable (of it).” In a statement released on Wednesday, the 74-year-old said he had a major accident four years ago in which he damaged his spine and that he can no longer cope with the travel required for a tour. “My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” he said. “My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.” Osbourne’s team, he added in the statement, is “currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.” He ended the statement by thanking his family, band, crew, longtime friends, Judas Priest and his fans “for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have.”

  5. I saw Ozzy on the Diary of a Madman, Speak of the Devil, and Bark at the Moon tours in his heyday, and I saw him on No More Tours 2 a few years ago. Ozzy was an absolutely fantastic front man and live performer. If you missed seeing him, I'm sorry.

  6. I never really connected with Eagles music until my friend showed me live things. Same thing happened with Fleetwood Mac. I loved them, I really did. Then I heard The Dance live album and I was blown away, especially by I'm So Afraid! Some bands really deserve a closer look, studio material isn't always the best sell.

  11. I'm glad I got to see him just once on Black Sabbath's The End Tour. He was in great form that night. Hopefully he continues to record music. His last two records were a bit of fun!

  14. Peter Gabriel - Car Peter Gabriel - Scratch Peter Gabriel - Melt Car is bursting with ideas but there are moments when you can tell Peter hasn’t yet changed all that much from his Genesis days, just hired some different musicians to play behind him. Scratch feels very much like a reaction to and enthusiastic embrace of punk, though those proggier tendencies still shine through in places, and he’s trying to figure out how to mix the two aesthetics. Melt is that fusion, fully formed. Plus the songwriting kicked up a notch. Taking notes from Bowie and and Eno, Melt finds the common ground between prog and punk, an experimental sound palate built on restrictions and simplifications, and lyrics which speak to the mind as much as the heart. His best thus far.

  17. I could never applaud behaviour like that. I find it revolting, honestly. Why gather in a crowd to watch that band if you don't like them? Dickhead behaviour.

  18. Agreed, I love a bit of Chevelle. There was a lot of snobbery towards bands like these. Mostly grunge era dad's who just couldn't accept their era was over.

  24. Saw this yesterday but didn't get online until now. Watched lots of tributes to him, Trottier and Chelios among them. First player to score 50 goals in a season and continued to be a force on the ice. RIP to a great hockey player

  25. They are all fantastic. I just wish that Brand New wasn’t problematic, or at least that the lyrics didn’t make me think about that fact.
