  1. Neil's hometown of St. Catharine's held a competition for a statue to be placed at his park pavilion to honor Neil. Link to the winning design below. (Sorry, can't post photo directly for some reason tonight.) Interestingly, it's not the one of him at the drums wearing the kufi hat that a bronze artist worked on last year. Instead, they went with 2 statues- the young 1970s Neil, and the mature Neil. Piles of books are featured prominently in both. https://www.stcatharines.ca/en/news/artist-selected-to-commission-artwork-for-neil-peart-memorial.aspx

  2. It was obvious that this joke was lethal -- no one could read it and live. I shall enter the house and attempt to remove the joke.

  4. I'm afraid that's just one of his stories. You must understand that a forum administrator and cannibal has to use some pretty clever stories to allay suspicion.

  5. I`m a mile from having World Cup fever still. I don`t have a temperature, no fatigue, nothing. Maybe it`ll kick in over the weekend. Or when the four games a day marathons start. Boy, that`s really going to test my sofa`s ass groove.

  6. Oh Sir, eh, very nice. An' how'd you get that, eh? By exploitin' the workers -- by 'angin' on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic an' social differences in our society!

  18. Yes, yes. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to show you some of the performance, but I can assure you it was of the highest By-Tor and the Snow Dog standard.

  19. Family entertainment? Bollocks. What they want is filth -- people doing things to each other with chainsaws during Rush listening parties, babysitters being stabbed with knitting needles by gay presidential candidates...

  29. If I was designing a town for Neil I'd have the houses made of bricks in the shape of little RUSH t-shirts with 2112 on. The fire station would look exactly like the cover of A Farewell to Kings and all the women in the town would have their hair like the woman on Permanent Waves...

  31. The publisher's website now has a listing for the as-yet-untitled memoir, and it gives a tentative release date of May 16, 2023 (thanks RushFanForever). The listing indicates that the book will be around 400 pages and be available as a hardcover or as an e-book. There's also a listing on Amazon where you can pre-order the hardcover for $35 and the e-book for $17.99. Amazon also shows a CD option for $39.99 but it's not clear what that includes.
