  1. Smashing Pumpkins-Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (9/10) I remember finding this in one of my bro's old CD books. it's big it's bloated it's loud. But i can't tell you how many vacations i brought this on and just got lost in it. SP is an underrated band with me. Mick

  7. Between this and Siamese Daydream I have more than enough SP for a lifetime. I also randomly own a copy of Monument To And Elegy but I never listen to it. It’s okay.

  14. Lions. Ok, ok, I'll wait for the laughter to stop. Still waiting... ok. number 1 offense. but only 1-3. scores 45 points with practice squad receivers, but loses. first game in Seahawks history...e v e r...where they don't punt once. next week at new england then a bye week. i'm looking for a D coordinator to get fired after that game unless there's a marked improvement. seeing a 3rd string qb playing for ne this week, don't know the whole story. but he'll have a HOF game against the lions. Lions couldn't stop a runny nose.

  15. Packers 27 Patriots 24 (OT) Rodgers threw a pick-6 Refs gave the Patriots a free TD when they went way past the play clock. Packer WR Romeo Doubs had a moment of rookie misery in the end zone, losing the ball when he hit the ground 3 plays, 21 points, football is a crazy game…..

  17. Since Friday: The Wonder Years - No Closer To Heaven The Wonder Years - Sister Cities The Wonder Years - The Hum Goes On Forever Tokyo Monsters - Long Time Coming The Home Team - Slow Bloom The Wonder Years - The Hum Goes On Forever (again) EP, I think you might like this album from The Home Team. Their first album was more straightforward pop punk, but this new one is like a mix of indie pop and metal. I just saw last night, opening for Real Friends and With Confidence. They signed my vinyl, and I got to meet them.

  28. Yeah it's a good one, in 1893 H.G. Wells (Malcolm McDowell) reveals to his friends at a dinner party that he's built a time machine, he shows them the machine and how it works. Unfortunately one of his friends, a doctor, is Jack the Ripper (David Warner) and he just killed another victim on the way there. The police arrive asking questions and they find Jack's medical bag with knives and bloody gloves, and now they know the doctor is Jack. They search the house but they can't find any sign of him, so they leave to continue the manhunt. Wells checks the cellar and finds his time machine gone. He knows the machine will return soon though because he has the key that controls it. When it returns Wells sees that Dr Stevenson aka Jack has travelled to 1979 and now he has to go after him to stop him from creating a new reign of terror in the future!

  30. Same goes for Rick "not the lead singer of Midnight Oil" Scott. All 16 in their party and state voted against aid because of their "socialism derangement syndrome" which is petty hatred for anything even slightly to the left of Hitler. A black woman playing a flute they didn't even know existed until now is more of a threat to these triggered snowflakes.

  31. the problem with BHN is their all great 3 to 4 minute pop/rock songs stretched to ungodly lengths. But to me every song is really good and a lot are catchy to boot. Mick

  33. Oasis 1. (Whats The Story) Morning Glory [Don't Look Back In Anger] 2. Definitely Maybe [Supersonic] 3. Be Here Now [Stand By Me] 4. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants [Gas Panic!] 5. Dig Out Your Soul [The Shock Of The Lightning] 6. Heathen Chemistry [The Hindu Times] 7. Don't Believe The Truth [Let There Be Love] I went through half of Be Here Now when wondering what my favorite song was before just sticking to ol reliable in Stand By Me. Love the album too much, not one track is a specific standout above the rest.

  34. To be fair the vast majority of RS whiny progressives don’t behave that way. That is the m.o. of Invisible Airwaves, they snap way too easily best use the ignore function. I’ve had them on ignore for months, it’s relaxing*. *Use of the pronouns they/them is an attempt to not assume one’s gender and be labeled a f***ing transphobic.

  35. My post wasn't really directed at your posts here. It was more about the tendency to post a political opinion here and then objecting to people taking a different view.

  36. It does happen here, which, speaking for myself, I wish it wouldn't. SOCN allows us to freely discuss these types of issues with people who have signed up for doing so.

  37. OK. I was just following what seemed like the norms here as most of the recent posts in this thread are about politics, including by people who seem not to like that.
