  2. My favorite time of year! Probably because I live in the South where our Summer days tend to feel like you're being smothered slowly by a 100-ton wet sponge that's been heated to 100 degrees.

  3. I saw them in Texas on Friday. Planned a trip to visit family to coincide with the show. They sounded as good as they ever have. Steven was enthusiastic and engaged, and they all played great. And I'll say something that some diehards might find controversial: Randy McStine -- the new guy who replaced John Wesley -- I think I like him better. His vocals were spot on and IMO his guitar playing was better. And while I did miss Colin on bass, the new guy Nate Navarro filled in just fine, and he's a Dallas guy so he got a nice hand from the crowd. I wont give away any setlist details, but there was no opening act so it was a full three hours of PT with a short break in the middle.

  5. RUSH wins back-to-back games as an underdog! D stepped up again and Lamb is starting to play like 88 is supposed to. I smell a QB controversy coming. LOL

  12. Gonna be in the high 90s. SoCal usually doesn't truly feel fall until the clocks are changed.

  17. The Temperance Movement. Incredible band with Stones and Faces influence, who unfortunately broke up after only three albums.

  18. Listening to someone go on about on climate change and fossil fuels right before they gave mr a tour of the new home they are building...which will have a six-car garage.

  19. The debut album by this band called Van Halen is great. It hasn't been "tainted by overexposure," literally speaking. You couldn't play it enough to "taint," it. The original lead singer of Black Sabbath released an album by his new band, "Blizzard of Ozz," that was excellent. That same year, a prog rock band from Canada released an album called Permanent Waves that I love.

  24. At first, it had the look of one of last season's games wherein they roar out to a 21-point lead and spend the rest of the game slowly losing it while only scoring three more points, but this time they never really let up, the Cardinals couldn't get anything going, and the final score didn't really reflect how in control the Chiefs were. Good start for Mahomes and Co. We'll see what happens when they get the AFC.
