  1. Rush- Roll The Bones This album is one of the most comforting, life affirming albums in my collection. I've really bonded with this album, it's warmth and it's lyrics and it's playing. I love it so much

  2. Creed-Weathered(9/10) As i've grown and matured i've became extremely fond of these guys. what i despised from overexposure. Now feels like a long lost friend from my past. And be honest here these guys wrote bangers. I LOVE this album in particular. Mick

  3. Rush- Test For Echo And my addiction to this weird album continues...some terrific playing (as always). I enjoy this album purely for the playing. It's like the goofy cousin of Snakes And Arrows.

  4. Slash's Snakepit - Ain't Life Grand Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators - Living the Dream I've enjoyed seeing GNR twice since the 2016 reunion, but let's face some facts. Slash has released more new music in the last 10 years with Myles and the Conspirators then he ever did with GNR. Stick with what works Saul.

  5. That’s the same kind of enjoyment I get out of them, though I haven’t heard the debut.

  6. 🤔 I sometimes feel at times that’s Sammy’s vast body of work doesn’t get the respect it deserves !

  7. Well, I figured if you had time in your listening schedule for a band as lame as REO then there's certainly room for the new Megadeth 😄 I'm not sure how much say Dave has in the price of the albums though.

  8. It's a copper-bottomed turd. The worst thing they've ever done by a mile.

  18. You will never convince me that Dark Roots is not their best album. But if there was one to pick over it, you chose correctly.

  21. well I love the new order most out the early stuff Practice is ok but not as strong as the first two IMO. And Souls sounds rushed cause it was. i prefer early Metallica to Early Testament honestly. Mick

  22. Now My next band i listened to ALL out of order over the last three days, but this band has become a major fav one that this forum introduced me too. One that i can't believe i missed but oh well. i know them now, lol Testament (not including thaat re-makes album, BTW) 12. Demonic 11.Souls of Black 10. Practice what You Preach 9. Brotherhood Of the Snake 8. The Legacy 7. Low 6. Titans Of Creation 5. The Gathering 4. New Order 3. The Ritual 2. Dark Roots of Earth. 1. Formation of Damnation. I want not make clear almost no Testament are bad. However they are one band i feel their classic thrash period is the weakest era. to me they only got better. the only stinker i found IMO was Demonic. Mick

  24. Me too! This might just be my favourite Soundgarden album. Soft spot for Louder than Love too. Haven't listened much to the last 2 albums they did which I must remedy! Heck love all their albums - Flower on Ultramega Ok alone makes it a great listen Find BadMotorfinger a tad overrated compared to others' opinions but it's still good.

  25. Nice effort down the stretch! The rookie's pick six provided the spark we needed!

  26. Pretty much how I feel. The tour was phenomenal for me, as I got to experience them at the Gorge on a perfect night. As for the album itself, I agree it hasn't aged well. I still like the title track, love Time and Motion, and have a soft spot for the tongue in cheek Dog Years. I think the album is best experienced these days through Neil's A Work In Progress video. Alex and Geddy admit to kind of phoning in T4E, and that lack of creative effort on their part really makes Neil's re-tooling of his drumming the most interesting aspect of the album.

  27. Have I said lately that I HATE the “go home on contact” play? The Brewers constantly have their runner on 3rd sprint for home on contact even when it’s a hot smash to the 3rd baseman. Once again, the runner was out by a mile.

  28. I still think this is the pinnacle of Lee's bass playing. I love the lines, wish the sound was thicker, and wished he continued in this vein. Great melodies as well, but definitely dated. Still, I have a soft spot for it.

  29. I've said it before and I will say it again: I love HYF. The mixing is what it is but the softness feels very comforting to me. HYF in it's entirety puts me in a creative mood. Most songs are energetic and beautiful, and the bass lines are delicious. Tai Shan has a different feel to it than the previous songs on the album but usually I listen to it as well.

  31. I did a re-listen and I don't find it as bad as some do. I will agree Tai-Shan was a dud, even Geddy says that. I enjoy High Water, the drumming is great. There are a couple of others I skip, Second Nature and Lock and Key. Overall I liked it because I came to Rush after listening to Grace Under Pressure so I wasn't as familiar to their early recordings. Turn the Page has some of Geddy's best bass so I would rate it higher than say Test for Echo, they seemed to be phoning that one in.

  32. I really didn’t like this album for the first few years I started getting in to Rush. As I’ve gotten older, I really like some of the songs, especially Mission and Time Stand Still. It’s still not a top album for me, but I do enjoy it.

  33. An entry on my bank account shows a $1400 deposit from Social Security, posted on 1st of the month. Amount is too small to be my monthly benefits, and 15 days early. Determination notice from SSA arrived today, turned out to be a benefits payment owed to Karen from back in the quarterly period when she passed away. Amount was credited to me as surviving spouse. Nice!
