  2. Very pleased that I had a quiet day at work today as I was sitting at my desk still smiling at how great a show that was Fantastic that the guys were able to produce such a strong tribute to Taylor and Neil. I honestly thought we would never see anything like that again. I had suspected YYZ might make an appearance given the history with Taylor, but when the intro to 2112 started up I was literally laughing out loud with joy. My wife had never witnessed me at a Rush concert, despite my threatening to take her several times, and she was in stitches at the sight of me rocking out on the couch Thanks guys, you made my year As for Dave Grohl, so much respect. If there's a harder working person in the business I'd like to see them. What a phenomenal tribute

  3. I think Muse went from super accomplished to the worst of the radio hitters in the UK. Bands like Biffy and Keane remain superior to me.

  6. Weatherman - that is tragic news about Dave Grohl's mother passing. Its a testament to the man and his daughter that they carried on with the tribute concerts.

  7. Muse Showbiz (8/10) Origin of Symmetry(9/10) Absolution (9/10) Black Holes and Revelations (10/10) the Resistance (7/10) The 2nd Law (4/10) As you can clearly see no i'm not bulshitting. I WAS indeed a Muse fan. i love the first 4 and think they hold on really well. they're fun inventive interesting and engaging . However round about the resistance I get the first taste of the shift that'd be coming. we get the first rah-rah anthem with that stomping beat that Muse would re-use over and over and over again. i'm assuming that wwill continue till madonna has a new hit album. It's on The Resistance too where they go all in on the We can be the new Queen policy and it just fails. The 2nd Law was my first What da f**k moment with Muse. This album is ten years old and it sounds 100. it aged like sour milk. i stopped after the 2nd law cause i know where the story goes. but Yes i did and still do love the first 4. Mick

  8. I think this tribute concert was a testament to how much people in the industry love and respect Dave Grohl. Musicians die all the time. Most of them aren't lucky enough to know a man who can organize top seasoned professionals to come and play for him (and with him) in the deceased person's honor. Also: I just learned that Grohl's mother died two weeks ago. Damn.

  9. My 5 year old is getting into characters like Pac man, Sonic, Mario and Qbert via various youtube videos that have created all sorts of fun and silly scenarios based on the games. So we've been having a go at these games together via my old megadrive, old dos games, online games and the judicious use of a emulator or 2. I'm always amazed at how he struggles with the controls to start with - I must have come a long way over the years with how to control computer games, or, have played far too many!

  10. I was lucky enough to attend the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in London with my two grown up sons. As part of my 60th birthday celebrations I had initially bought tickets to see the Foo Fighters for their 2022 UK tour for my sons and I, as they are fans of the band and I like their Greatest Hits. I was very sad to hear that Taylor had died and totally understood the reasons for the cancellation of the bands tour, albeit I was very disappointed. I was then delighted to be able to bag tickets for the tribute concert and excited to see that Geddy and Alex would be in attendance. I first saw Rush in 1981 and I last saw them on the Time Machine tour in 2011, and I had thought they would never play together on this side of the pond again, so I was thrilled at the possibility of them playing at Wembley. For me, they were excellent that night and I am extremely grateful that I was able to see them play again. I had previously taken my sons to see Rush on the Snakes and Arrows tour in 2007 to show them a proper rock concert before they started to go to see their own concerts, so it was brilliant to share this moment with them. The added bonus of seeing John Paul Jones (again!) and Paul McCartney, plus the Foo Fighters playing their hits was brilliant. Those of you who have tickets to the LA show – enjoy!

  13. U forking 2 - Their last 3 are just awful and let's not forgot that Pop disaster. Doesn't help that Boner is as much of a phony "philanthropist" as Bob Geldof before him. Smashing Pumpkins - Post Machina is flawed. I'm looking at you Monuments and Cyr! The Killers - Their last album was an unexpectedly awesome album and their best one since Sam's Town. Post Sam's Town is inconsistent and dabbles too much into EDM of the moment. Megadeth - late 90s and early 00s have Dave being as much of a sellout as that era of Metallica and sounds like Nickelback esque butt rock

  16. Yes isn't it? I am just glad to see Ged and Alex together again and playing. They cared about Taylor and are doing their bit to honor him. After all , isn't that what this whole concert is supposed to be about? RIP Taylor, you are missed.

  17. The three singles are great. I think the title track, Life In Hell and Dogs Of Chernobyl are standouts as well. The rest of the album is solid enough to make it very enjoyable. Boo bonus tracks though. This album should definitely end with We'll Be Back.

  20. I’m a sucker for old video games like I’m a sucker for Rush re-releases. I have sonic CD on iOS, the original Sega CD, Sonic Gems, Xbox 360, and the new sonic collection that was released on all platforms. The most recent collection was just a money bilking endeavor, and it still worked on me. I love me my classic Sonic.

  21. I used to have Sonic CD on my old iPod Touch. Sonic CD is on another compilation for GameCube, Sonic Gems Collection, which also had Sonic R, Sonic The Fighters, some Sonic Game Gear games, and the Vectorman games
