RIP, Jim Seals. Thinking of their music brings back a great summer week at church camp, Diamond Girl was always on the radio. Nice memories. Thanks for the music.

I have Jim Seals to thank for a vexation during my childhood years: My hometown's public swimming pool always played a local radio station over the PA during those idyllic summer days. One of the songs occasionally heard was 'Summer Breeze'. I'd hear that lyric, ". . . blowing through the jasmine in my mind". This I found baffling. "Did he sing, 'blowing through the jasmine in my mind?'" "What does that even mean?!" "How and why would a person have jasmine in their mind?" Brothers and friends could offer no answer.

aww man. these two had some awesome hits in the 70's that 70's soft rock genre is one of my favorites things and they certainly had a deep claim in it. RIP Jim Mick

Very little evidence of shopping facilities here. There don't seem to be any large supermarkets. There may be some on-the-corner grocery stores behind those rocks, but it's difficult to tell from this angle. It does seem to suggest that most of the shopping here is by direct mail.

No other band has given me the highs that RUSH has, and still does. Album-wise I still play Caress, Hemi, Waves, Signals and Grace and Presto fairly often.
