  5. Ditto. "I'm not proud of everything I've done in me life, but it could've been worse. I could've been Sting." - Ozzy Osbourne But travelling with Sting everywhere he went in those five years of the Police would have been amazing. What Stewart's doc "Everyone Stares" captures makes me think working for Sting would be the best of the gigs listed. You don’t get the impression that he’d treat you like shit? My guess is that they all would. Ah ok. Very possible. Carrying Sting’s bags seems one of the worst though...not as bad as scrubbing Jagger and Richards’ undies but pretty close

  11. mmm going for the deep cuts there I think Vital Signs is underappreciated. It's actually one of my favorites off Moving Pictures.

  13. Nobody is disputing the status of Subdivisions. But I just give it to The Analog Kid, and it`s mainly Alex`s fault - it`s definitely one of my favourite solos, but the lyrics too. They have a weirdly beautiful autumnal value that I love.

  16. Inspired by Texas King's poll, "POLL: Best Rush Song from the debut to Moving Pictures" Imma go with Subdivisions. Not so sure who else is gonna vote for this one, but I think it's one of the best Rush songs period.

  21. that comes second for me... or TSS Well, if we're talking seconds...Distant Early Warning or Dreamline for me. Are you back for good? I don't know...I wander in, I wander out. I'm gone for a few months then I'm back for a spell. There's no set formula. Maybe I was stranded on an island for a while without internet! I mean, not that I was, but I could've been...there's no telling!! It's because you're traveling around in a flying saucer! Well, yeah... It's the only way to fly. But it does tend to mess with the time/space continuum. It's nice to be back though. ;)

  23. Top 3 1 Analog Kid 2 Subdivisions 3 DEW Everything on that list is either very good or great. Some can compete with the “big boys” of Hemispheres, PeW, and Moving Pictures

  25. The song "the Trees" hasn't been disliked by me, too. For me, I think it's been between "Vital Signs", and "Circumstances". If "Entre Nous (Between Us)" was included in the list, too, then it would be between those three Rush songs. I've decided to pick "Vital Signs".

  29. 'Tis a story of a man's great love for his...fellow men. I was trying to do my butch voice, you know, 'what the jury must understand', and they loved it. That's the exact frequency, now keep it there. Sorry, I didn't mean to be so dogmatic when I came in. Obviously you can all move a little within reason. Thank you, vicar Simon, we're just not religious. :nya nya: :nya nya: Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you? We want you to think of us as your frieeeeeend. :fury: Are you a yes-man? Yes..yes...now...um...what...what...ah...what is it? Is it a power station? Frankly, I think the central pillar may need strengthening.

  34. I just gave Grace a listen for the first time and it's a good album. Buckley had a unique voice filled with emotion and passion. This is certainly a case of people loving a musician who died because of what could have been (Buckley seriously had a lot of potential) than it is praising an artist simply because they died young. I honestly don't ever see myself having the desire to listen to this album again but it was a good listen nevertheless.

  35. Their main product was their touring. For the number of shows they did and the years they toured they needed to keep challenging themselves or make it interesting. Agreed. One of the big things I have realised over the last bunch of pandemic months, while I have been listening to lots of bootlegs from over their career, is how the dynamics of each tour changed with the addition of new material. This is why fans kept coming back for more - things never stood still.

Brack) Still the most fun of the series and without it Scream doesn’t exist. Can’t forget the Alice Cooper theme song either.

  45. It's quite an interesting listen. Certainly more prominent guitar and less keyboards. Keyboard sound is more like the sound on GUP. I think the song with the most different arrangement is Manhattan Project.
