I've cranked one out/busted one out to a number of things in my life The Rush catalog has never been involved :cheers:3 points

A TRUE classic!!! As :rush: has proved time & time again in producing one of a kind albums. One of the 1st few I had collected when I became a "Full Time" :rush: fan! AFTK is such an album the likes of which will never ever, ever be able to be duplicated or reproduced! Maybe remastered by the geniuses themselves but that's it!!3 points

Look, no need to call the OP a dick. Sure, his threads have that Capt. Obvious thing about them, but that doesn't make him a dick. If you find a thread uninteresting, you can express that without the namecalling. Or just ignore it completely.2 points

If he does have that net worth (big IF, since those kind of websites are pretty dubious), then I don't see money motivating him whatsoever nor do I see the kind of huge money offers coming to the band. Grinding it through another R40 type tour just ain't gonna cut it. I'm hoping and thinking they have too much pride to lower themselves to a Vegas residency. Once performers do the Vegas residency they've reached the total whore stage of their career. The band also still has reasonable royalties coming in to buffer their net worth, unless they get stupid wasteful. My sister (a huge Aerosmith fan back to the debut album) and I were just discussing this! Is it the band selling out or no? Some of what was said above about remaining in the same location must be very appealing when you get to be that age. It has turned Vegas into a must do trip for my sister, but shoot me if Rush or Keith Richards ever does it . . . The Vegas thing are for acts that have more mainstream popularity. I just can't see Rush drawing much in a Vegas setting. And I think the guys would feel like it's a slimy gratuitous sell-out. "hey see Rush tonight and get 50% off the buffet!" Nothing about Rush fits a Vegas residency. Edit: but speaking of gratuitous and slimy, there's always Ray Danniels. When they tour, they always had to have a purpose for the tour, be it a new album or a creative way to address a milestone like R40. The only thing Vegas is about is chasing every last buck.2 points

Blues Brothers 2000 (1998), which was a bit better from the last time I saw it, and Animal House (1978), of which I couldn't stop laughing, having never seen it before.1 point

After the dud that was The Equalizer, two great ones ( cue Meat Loaf ) 2009's Thrist Thirst and Let the Right One In would be neck and neck in terms of greatest modern vampire films1 point

Yeah, it's been really heavy man with all these freaks from the fascist press trying to blow the whole scene. Silly old leg-before-wicket English persons. You don't frighten us, English pig-dogs! Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called Blackhawk-king, you and all your silly English knnnniggets! What they had come across was tribe-73, lost to man since time immemorial...who offered no resistance to this delivery.1 point

I have seen this "net worth" website and I find it very disturbing that people's personal wealth (or not) is out there for all to see. How much money someone has (or not) is none of anyone's goddam business but their own. Also, I don't know how anyone could even know about someone's personal wealth. Did someone call Neil and ask him? Thank you, Internet. And, no, I doubt very highly that Neil needs or wants more money. He is a retired drummer. Leave him alone.1 point

I find it hard to say anything negative about him. Though yeah, most of the names connected with Vegas residencies do make me think “whore stage of their career”.1 point

Wow what a documentary that was. So much I didnt know. Them talking about Terry's death is so sad to see, they are still heartbroken. So emotional. It was amazing to watch and makes me want to listen to some Chicago now1 point

Enjoy! I definitely have a greater respect for them after watching it. Absolutely! I always looked at them as a bunch of jazz geeks playing pop rock. Some great tunes. But after the doc - wow. They were right up there with the best of the rockers for living the lifestyle.1 point

I'm a big Stones fan and I love GHS. The production is off but the music is spectacular. Mr D, Silver Train, Winter, Star Star. Not a bad song on the album. Angie, Heartbreaker, 100 Years Ago and Starf*cker are among my favorite Stones songs, and I love the band. I dislike Angie tbh. One of my favorite songs by anyone, actually. Angie, the single, was released 45 years ago today. I love Angie They played it when I saw them at the Toronto skydome in 2002. The entire crowd drowned Mick out singing along to it. One of my favorite concert memories.1 point

It suffers from over-exposure, but yeah, it's perfect. As Boy George famously said, DSOTM has just about every sound you'll ever want to hear on a record. I've never had more appreciation for On The Run than I did watching that doc.1 point

I love how Geddy can play within the song. He will go crazy on occasion, but never at the expense of the song. He is so amazing. One of the only bass players in the world where I'll listen to a song and just key on the bass. his tone always cuts through.....never buried in the mix...so proud of playing melodic bass1 point

How can you guys dislike Snakes & Arrows? That album rocks! One of their best albums! :o1 point
