A really adorable little curly-haired baby in a stroller gave me a HUGE smile for no reason as I walked by when I was on my way to the grocery store this afternoon. Is anything more of a startling spirit-lifter than a for-no-reason baby smile?

The intro Alex played during Discovery is so beautiful. And even in his semi old age, Geddy sang 2112 like a f***ing champ!

wouldn't it be great if we all had little GI Joe sized Rush clones? Id set up a nice little stage for them and they could play concerts all the time! I'll take a set as well. I'd point a webcam at them and broadcast that on the TV behind them. My own Rush show! I bet little Geddy could hit those high notes again. Oh yeah, you just KNOW Little Ged would be NAILING those high notes

2112, Anthem, and Bastille Day are all equally kick ass. Honorable mentions to Lakeside Park and In the End. It's really a fantastic live album. To quote Narp, "just raw young boys going at it" haha

Last week in Yosemite. Felt silly smiling for a photo with a fire raging in the background. Definitely made for an interesting vacation. I'm on the left.

I'll have to take your word for it. I only saw them every year from 79' to 87' and they seemed pretty good...

you're lucky. the fact that you haven't seen them 50 times like everyone else here just makes you more likely to love them more when you do see them! The first time you see any band is bound to always be a special one I think. The first time I saw Rush, I almost felt like I was dreaming, but in a good way!

A bunch of shirts from the last 12 years worth of tours, a bandana from the Roll The Bones tour (lost the shirts i got from the Presto and Roll The Bones tours) Got a Rush drum transcription booked autographed by Geddy and Alex. A pick from Vapor Trails (or TFE...can't quite remember.) Not sure if it's exactly Rush memorabilia, but I've got 8 Signature guitars like the ones Alex used in the late 80's. One is pretty much exactly like the white Aurora he used on A Show Of Hands...even with the panther patch.
