  1. But hey, let's be realistic here! Alex would probably fight, Geddy try to use reasoning and Neil will call security. ;)

  3. I agree!!!! :ebert: There's just something special about all of us Rush fans getting together to CELEBRATE RUSH, even if it's only in a movie theater!!!!!! :ebert: :cheerleader:  :rush: It will be in theatres 11/18. From RIAB: The film is now listed at both Fandango, and Moviefone. The Moviefone listing doesn't have any information attached to it other than the film's name, but the Fandango listing confirms the November 18th release date and has it with a running time of 2 hours and 25 minutes. It's also listed as PG-13. Must keep children safe from weird Canadian humor!

  4. Right now, it's 16:00pm, 20.4C, cloudy all over, slightly breeze, leaves falling down, no rain.

  5. The comments on that site are interesting. That might be one of those infamous British tabloids. They're using the kind of hyperbole that I've rarely seen even for a category 5 hurricane.

  6. I was hoping there would be a theatrical release like there was for the Time Machine, but I reckon if there was we'd have heard about it by now.

  7. This is a tough call. Geddy's probably the only one who's in fighting shape, but he also has the disadvantage in size. Alex is a maniac and would probably be the most motivated, but his health and lifestyle might be a factor in whether he survives. As for Neil? He might look big and scary, but I don't think he wants to be seen fighting. He'd probably leave on his motorcycle and then send me a postcard while I'm in the hospital.

  8. Alex would just sit there cracking jokes. Geddy would probably be egging Lifeson on. Neil's got the intimidation factor. I choose Neil.

  9. Don't take this wrong please cause I love Neil. I would choose him to bore them into forgetting what the disagreement was all about, thus avoiding the physical confrontation altogether :outtahere:

  10. I would chose Alex. My theory is that the more happy and jovial one can be, the bigger the potential for swaying to the other side of the road.

  18. I have a rather large Rush vinvyl collection, so I'll try to list what I recall: Rush Fly By Night Rush/Fly By Night (German double album) Caress of Steel Archives (2 - Grey Canadian, Black) All The World's a Stage (2 - one Canadian no-trifold, one UK trifold) 2112 A Farewell To Kings (2 - one Canadian, one Russian) Hemispheres (3 - Red Vinyl unopened, Canadian normal, Picture Disc) Permanent Waves Moving Pictures (autographed by the band) Exit Stage Left Signals Rush Through Time (2 - 1 German, 1 Picture) Grace Under Pressure Power Windows (2 - 1 Canadian, 1 Picture) Hold Your Fire Presto (2 - 1 German, 1 Venezuelan) A Show of Hands Chronicles - UK Vertigo) Roll The Bones Counterparts (German) Test For Echo ("unofficial" picture disc - great sound for something that "doesn't exist") Vapor Trails (sealed) Feedback (2 - 1 US, 1 UK sealed) Snakes and Arrows Time Machine 2011 (sealed) Rush ABC - Live at the Agora (2 - both sealed, 1 black, 1 brown/orange) Clockwork Angels (2 - 1 US, 1 German red vinyl sealed) Vapor Trails Remixed (sealed) I have a slew of vinyl bootlegs, radio and interview broadcasts, 7", 10", 12", Russian postcards - too numerous to list off the top of my head. I love my collection and listen to most of it whenever the house is empty. :7up: Now if only Different Stages and some of the other live discs would come out on vinyl, I could die a happy man.

  22. I originally considered methodological dissection of the song, piece by piece, analyzing the different facets of its structure and how each intertwined and interacted with the others on various temporal rates of progression before realizing that it was simply a piece of sh!t. You realized that your methodological dissection would simply turn out to be a piece of shit, so you abandoned the idea? How humble of you to admit that.

  23. As you may know my husband, Brett and I live on a narrowboat... We have lived aboard Elsie for five and a half years and have decided its time for bricks and mortar. We've been talking about it for a while now. Neither of us want to stay aboard for another winter and we both want to be closer to family. We have handed in our notices at work and are going to move away from Shropshire in the West Midlands and move in with Brett's mum in Clacton-On-Sea, 250 miles away on the south east coast to begin with, then once we have secured jobs we're gonna get a place in Colchester which is about 20 minutes from Clacton... At least that's the plan!! Brett put Elsie on a boat sales website last week and if by this Friday she hasn't had any interest from buyers, then we are gonna take her to a brokerage and they can sell her on our behalf. So our adventure on the canal is ending and a new one's about to commence. :) The lyrics to Rush's Headlong Flight would seem appropriate right now.... With a couple of changes: "I have stoked the fires on Elsie's stoves, Steered our little ship down the canal..." :)

  32. on point bro...my least favorite track live. The album cut is what I'll listen to forever TM you know how much I love CA and this RUSH. You also know how hard it must have been to come out and actually say something negative towards one of these guys but I just couldn't sit idelely by knowing what I heard and call it Gold when its wasn't. Honestly, I hope the rest of the Album/DVD sounds better. I was really hoping for some great renditions of all the CA songs and a few other (Middletown Dream, Grand Design, The Body Electric, Territories, Manhattan Project and Where's my Thing?) off the first set on video. :codger: This burden is heavy for L2K I know...must be tough to carry it all by yourself. How do you cope? I watch the Walking Dead and name the Zombies after members of TRF. Its always warms my heart and allows for a much deeper sleep when GeminiRising is decapitated by Michonne in the name of :rush: .

  40. Here's one I can't find a name for tour. Yes I know, very unusual setlist, opening with By-Tor, no Spirit of Radio, YYZ, 2112, La Villa, Working Man, Far Cry, alot of songs not played often/in forever and alot of songs never done... This is almost an ideal setlist for me. Oh and no instrumentals? WHAT? Orange highlight means it hasn't been played in atleast 10 years, red means never played live. Set One: 1. By-Tor and the Snow Dog (no hymn) 2. Clockwork Angels 3. Turn The Page 4. Vapor Trail 5. Roll The Bones 6. Cut to the Chase 7. Driven 8. Subdivisions 9. The Enemy Within 10. The Weapon 11. Witch Hunt 12. Freeze 13. Bastille Day 14. Headlong Flight Set Two: 15. Tom Sawyer 16. Ghost Rider 17. Passage to Bangkok 18. In The Mood 19. Chain Lightning 20. Wish Them Well 21. Drum Solo 22. Alex Solo / The Trees 23. Xanadu 24. Good News First 25. Jacob's Ladder 26. Marathon Encore: 27. Everyday Glory 28. Limelight

  41. Forming your opinion based on some random internet jockey is pointless. For me HYF is well below Power Windows which you say you hate. I made the mistake of staying away from Vapor Trails because of the loudness (pun intended) of the negative minority. Figure out what you like on your own. I've never seen a verbal description of music that ever gave me insight into what something I've never heard will sound like, even if it makes perfect sense in hindsight.

  42. The new album can be better than the last two simply because Tuomas has a much more versatile vocalist with a better range to write songs for now. That's what made Imaginerum so great, he was able to write the songs specifically to fit Annett's vocal style. Dark Passion Play is very good to, but you can tell that the songs weren't all written with Annette's voice in mind. Touring with Floor was the best thing that could happen for the band. Tuomas can now take his one of a kind songwriting skills and come up with something really great now that he's been on the road with her and gotten to hear first hand what she can do with her voice. Trust me, as someone who's been a fan of theirs for about ten years now, I really think the next album is gonna blow the fans away now that Floor is part of it.

  45. I think Tony has kinda nailed it there. VT now sounds better than CA. As a collection of songs, CA is still stronger.
