Solar Federalist Group: Members Posts: 2,132 Member No.: 4,379 Joined: 1-April 07 Location: Jersey	Not sure if this has been posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRKh4rQRAFQ It's amazing how a song that I love on the album doesn't sound very good to me at all in demo form. Im not talking about the sound quality, but the song itself sounds VERY rough around the edges. Just goes to show how valuable a good producer really is.

Quite a few parts of the song are changed completely, and the solo is completely different. Very interesting to see these kind of things, they have these demotapes for every song offa PW on youtube.

From what I remember, most of the others at least have the same structure as the final products and aren't terribly different. Just stripped down and a little more raw sounding.

I think that demo was what really got me into the album version of "Emotion Detector", and more into Power Windows, when I was in 8th grade. I've heard the others, but I've heard that demo the most and it takes me back to 8th grade.

It's one thing to rewrite a rhythm guitar part - you've got stuff to lock onto. But it was so hard to divorce what had been in my head as a solo for three months and come up with something that was a totally different feel. But I am satisfied with the results."
