I've got both my Pfeizer shots now. Feeling fine...a little drowsiness each time but not bad.

Still wearing a mask out and staying away from anti-masker dummies. But am no longer locked down.

Don't intend to get Delta or anything else. Let the dum dums die off from this thing.

Steve Burton, the actor who plays Jason on General Hospital has covid. He said he contracted it on set. He cancelled a set of live shows that he was scheduled to do with Bradford Anderson. I wonder if GH will have to shut down production.

I hope not. Though if it delays the ridiculous marriage story, that's ok, lol.

But staying on topic, more and more vaxxed folks are getting it but living to tell the tale. But that doesn't mean they won't carry it unknowingly and pass to an unvaxxed who then gets very sick and is hospitalized...and around and around we go.

If you want to create a GH thread in Video Vertigo, then I would post in there. I started watching GH and Y&R again last year because I was spending so much time at home. Now I stream the episodes online when I get home from work or on the weekend. I used to go to Soap Central, but the moderators over there are so anal about everything. They delete entire threads all the time for no reason whatsoever, It's so frustrating.

I was hanging out with friends tonight and one guy is stubbornly anti-COVID vax. He's young and fit, and was exposed last winter, but still, why risk a serious infection by avoiding the vaccine?

And he's getting the best medical care that the Texas taxpayers can buy for him. Meanwhile, he's doing his best to ensure that the virus is spread everywhere, just to be a partisan prick and stick it to the Other Side.....

This is why most of us agreed to stop with the politics outside of SOCN.

We've mostly moved away from reporting deaths and are now focused on reporting the number of cases. That's a positive sign in terms of where we are.

Seems like the UK is in the  phase, as cases and deaths are higher than they have been since March, but Covid`s now about fifth item on the news. Tough winter ahead as public ambivalence is a dangerous mood.

I wish my wife hadn`t gone to Alton Towers (theme park in England) for a few days with an anti-vax denier, her best friend from childhood. At least that friend has had Covid and my wife is fully vaccinated.

I would be curious as to how crowds are managed at the park.

We are now down to learning to live with COVID, and folks are either a) vaccinated, b) have acquired natural immunity by having survived contracting COVID, or c) are unvaxxed and choosing to play the odds. I only worry about anyone in group C who is in a high-risk group. Everyone else is statistically pretty safe.

Oh, that`s an easy one - they don`t bother at all with crowd control. England has waived all social restrictions, which I can`t question for mass outdoor events, but interestingly in Scotland it`s still masks and social distancing, on public transport and shops and so on.

If the UK was the US, you`d say there`s a deep red man in Downing Street and a deep blue woman in Holyrood House. As usual both sides have legitimate arguments but it really shouldn`t be a politicised issue at all.

well... almost two years after I first heard about this scary disease thing sweeping China and creeping into the rest of the world... I got it.

I'm fine, actually. Vaccinated fully back in May. It's pretty much been a strong cold to me. But I'm stuck at home for the week, right when I had a big in person day visit at my top firm planned. Now postponed till January. Oh well. I guess I have no excuse not to watch all six hours of the Get Back documentary now.

I don't really know. My dad is totally fine, and he was right next to me at the Genesis concert. I also went to a MisterWives concert the preceding weekend, and the friend I went with is also totally fine. My coworker and boss are also totally fine. It's like it jumped over anyone else around me just to hit me. Weird.

My sister finally got vaccinated. It took some serious work by our mother to convince her.

“Mothers should never bury their children. Children should bury their mothers,” Ma told her. It worked. :)

Did you have to travel for these shows?
