J2112YYZ
Here's the full setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/metallica/2021/globe-life-field-arlington-tx-5b8a4b28.html They didn't play One? What exactly was this for? The set being divided up like that isn't their usual thing. A lot of these 80s thrash bands are closing in on 60, if they aren't there yet. I believe Mustaine and Belladonna have reached that age. I wonder how much longer these guys can keep performing this kind of physically demanding style. Metallica opened the event, then played some more before the co-main event, then closed the show with the final 11 songs.

grep
What disappoints me about Metallica set-lists is that they almost never play more than 1 epic in a show. Master of Puppets and ...And Justice For All are mutually exclusive. Never in the same set. Then, you'll either get Orion or Ktulu... when they decide to put an instrumental in. You'd think for once they'd play a show, and do 3 of the 4. Even for S&M 2 , they just couldn't bother to drag out Justice.... Would have made it a perfect album, IMO. I feel like it's 10-12 years ago and I'm ragging about Rush not playing Hemispheres, AF2K, FBN, TCE or Jacob's Ladder. But yeah, Metallica's setlists are getting kind of generic. IMO. Have been for a long time. Edited November 29, 2021 by grep

Have been for a long time. I think Metallica does pretty well with their sets. There's always three or four songs that are different at each show. Generic is far from what I would call it. As far as playing both Puppets and Justice in the same set more frequently they probably don't do it in order to not kill themselves. Both are great songs but Puppets is the must play song. Justice isn't. Also, they f**k up Justice sometimes so they tend to avoid it. There's a video of them trying to do the song live from a few years ago where they had to restart it a few times because they were screwing something up. Maybe it's better to avoid a song live if the band can't pull it off.
