Powerball/minimart etiquette! Please don't shove ahead of me to the counter when you're the guy buying 30 different tickets for 30 Marked cards for 30 different people at your work.

I know it's a losing proposition, I only bought 2. Such a beautiful fall day here though, and great music (AC/DC) on the radio, I felt lucky. Fingers crossed! It's up to 635 million :o

How people can get so bent out of shape because of words not even directed at anyone in particular. Kind of sad actually.

3.2.1...

Those are numbers, actually

People who seem to revel in playing the asshole and are too much a coward to own up to it when called on their behavior.

Thankfully these people are rare in my social circles.

There are so many instances of this every day, referring to anyone in particular?

Facepalm really really doesn`t cut it - but a guy that I worked with up until 2017 in Northampton has been found guilty of having 606 indecent images on his electronic devices. He had his devices taken by police in November 2017, and he told me - I was his manager at the time - that his stepson (who is about 25 now) had been accessing child porn on the dark web which was why he wouldn`t have a phone. It has taken four years to get to court! He has been convicted so it is not a problem for me to name him but I won`t as it won`t mean much to anyone here.

So not only did he access the images, he blamed a really troubled kid, who - and it gets worse - whose real father was imprisoned for sexually abusing his own daughter when she was very young - stepdaughter of the man I worked with and sister of the kid he blamed.

He has avoided prison as his partner has Chronic Kidney Failure and he is her carer.

I`m rarely speechless.

He was probably abused also. That's how it seems to work.

I was reminded by an ex-colleague that his son had been grooming a 13 year-old, so whether he started the cycle or was part of one, he is perpetuating it.

Yep, suicide is often the cycle breaker for the abused. Easier than seeking help for some.

Taking my cat to the vet and he has an accident in the carrier  :o

Awww, poor baby. Kind of a pain to deal with it, though.

I think he's telling me enough of this, he had one on the way home the week before but I figured it was the excitement of being at the vet, this time he was letting me know how scared he was. He did better once we got him cleaned up and I put a blanket over the carrier.

Poor baby. I still find it amazing that both of our boys didn`t have an accident in the five and a half hours it took to drive to Scotland when we moved. They were so good, in their carriers on the back seat covered in quilts for insulation  Edited by IbanezJem

We have taken numerous cats to shows, sometimes 500+ miles away and only two accidents in over a decade. I think in this case since he's been diagnosed with diabetes, he's a bit stressed.

Glad your kitties handled their trip well.
