Out: Relayer

That seems soon, too soon. :scared:

Picked as it was the first disaster after TfTO. Saw them in concert in support of Tales. They sounded muddy and bogged down as though they were burning out. For sure Wakeman was fed up with the restrictions, as he was the hard drinking, non-vegetarian, party hearty animal back then. Rick quit (or was canned?) after that tour, and Patrick Moraz hired to man the keyboards. Imho it was a huge step down, coupled with my impression of him being a pompous ass. Lost my love of Yes at that point.

I really enjoyed Relayer when it was released. I saw the band twice on that tour.

I agree that the TFTO show was bloated and slow. I felt the same with Rick's Journey show.

The solo albums from Jon and Chris were spectacular but YES fell off my radar after GFTO album.

So, after Going For The One, you told them to GTFO?

LOL... Well, I came back for Big Generator, Union and Talk then they faded again.

I'll have to wait to vote, as I'm unfamiliar with anything past 90125, other than Anderson Bruford Wakeman and Howe.

For me, Talk and The Ladder weren't bad efforts but pretty much everything else is hard for me to listen to.
