Packers 25

Bengals 22

ALRdSDW.jpg

Spread was 3.5. Four missed field goals.

Final Vegas line was Packers -2.5

Crosby: 3 missed FG's (4/7), 1 missed XPT

McPherson: 2 missed FG's (0/2)

By far the strangest game I have ever watched.  Every Packer-Bengal game since 2005 has been bizarro. Fortunately, they only play each other every 4 years!

A great win for the Packers, though. When everything goes wrong, and you still find a way to win, it's a great win.

hasn't happened since '91 or something like that? My teaser card had a line of 3.5, so thanks a lot, Crosby.

I did love the moment of redemption he had, and was bummed they didn't mockingly carry him off on shoulders.

Crosby had a couple of bad misses but 1 was from 51 and barely missed the goal post. McPherson hit the upright from 57 and the flag at the top of the goal post from 49, so it wasn't a completely atrocious display.

Play of the day was the Browns pushing Ekeler into the end zone so they could get the ball back.

Well, they were in a hurry. They just wanted to get the Hell out of there and get back home!

Lions lost to the Vikings 19-17.

The second time in 3 games we've lost to a purple and yellow team on a last second FG by a 19-17 score.

What a cruel joke.

But they covered!

Urban Meyer: Do you can him?

I do, if I am the owner.

Ditto and way more for his incompetence as a coach and lack of commitment to team for not taking the team flight home than getting a lap dance. Dude should've waited for the USC job to open up. It was only a matter of time.

Gruden canceled in Vegas.

It is absolutely shocking to find out that a guy who has lived and worked the majority of his life in the super-macho world of football was spewing bigoted and sexist comments in his e-mails.

Shocking. I am outraged. I cannot believe that this happened and was not shut down long ago.

I figured the Jags would let Urban Meyer go first, more due to the team's record than the video. Wrong on that one.

That he would say those things? Or that he would commit them to writing in a form endlessly retrievable? That's the shockingly stupid bit.

His initial lack of contrition was a key factor, and a real reflection of his character, I think. Edited by goose

Guess the halftime show will have to be reworked now. Or maybe Gruden will join Eminem on stage.

I posted this in the Gruden thread but wanted to mention it here cuz it's so awesome.............delicious irony that he didn't want the Rams drafting "a fag" and the next guy to come out was his own player, Carl Nassib.

An article rightfully questioning why Gruden goes down for this kind of shit yet Daniel Snyder, who's overseen a very toxic work environment for years gets off without question. Think it has anything to do with his money and position? Do you think we'll ever evolve beyond good ol' boys clubs, objectification of women. racist bullshit, homophobic crap, etc. in this society? Ain't happenin' in my lifetime, sadly.

Sarcasm. I’m shocked that anyone would be shocked by his attitude and behavior.

There are hundreds if not thousands of macho guys like Gruden in the world of football, from high school on up to the NFL. He’s just one of the few who have been exposed.

Because he's one of the few that would actually call the NFL Commissioner a "f.aggot" in an email while his job was to earn millions being a color commentator for said sport... He was exposed because of a higher level of stupidity, not machismo. I find that far more shocking.

In his case, the stupidity and machismo are intertwined, IMO. He’s obviously a leader of the “Real Man Club”, which has nothing but disdain for women and non-Real Men (gay men, effeminate men, etc.). He’s also stupid and arrogant enough to not even think about his words being used against him in the future.

Well it was nice to be back in Amalie Arena last night! The banner was raised! Sonya Bryson's return to belt out the Anthem after her 30+ day battle with Covid (D Varient). Back in my normal seats with all my season ticket holder seat mates was like a family reunion! The crowd was fired up! However the Bolts got theis asses handed to them by a Pittsburgh team short 3 starters! No umph! No intensity! Skating like they had stickum on their skates! A complete lacluster performance! Oh well at least there's 81 more games :D Did I mention how nice it was to be back in Amalie Arena ;)

Next up we travel to the Motor city ci take on the Redwings.

Go Bolts!!k
