What's for lunch

Taking a road trip to check this place out. Run by two former Detroit Eastiders, bringing the taste of home. Will report later.

Follow-up: Ooh, I am so STUFFED! Walked in and my eyes get assaulted by a visual display of Better Made, Faygo, and Sanders. God, it's like I'm back home. A guy notices my Tigers T-shirt and asks "Detroiter?" I respond " Yes sir, Osborn Knight", referring to my high school. He responds, "Denby Tar", referring to the high school further East that was our fiercest rival. Turns out he's the owner. We shake hands, and he seats me at a table. I put in my order and in less than 10 minutes (quick, considering the inside and outside lunch crowd) it's in front of me. Two Detroit Coneys (natural casing pork and beef hot dog with mustard, chili, and chopped onions, in a steamed bun) a huge side of skinny fries, and two iced glasses of Faygo Rock and Rye pop (that's soda to the rest of you). While I'm eating the kitchen is putting out a steady stream of hot dogs, corned beef sandwiches and reubens, and REAL Detroit style pizza (Wisconsin Brick cheese instead of Mozzarella). After finishing I grab a 2 liter bottle of Rock and Rye for later and head home. The place is a keeper, definitely making another visit.

A big italian style omelette with ham, cheese and vegetables. Jasmine rice, a tiny bowl of salad plus a warm bread roll with butter. The lunch was tasty and I was stuffed.

You must've taken a nap after all that. :o

Are you thin?

Neither thin nor chubby. Balanced, I guess, but after that meal I could really feel I've eaten.

Bored af, went to the local Miller's s Ale House for some lunch and footy. As part of a St. Patrick's day promo they had "Irish Egg Rolls". Shredded corn beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, wrapped in an egg roll skin and fried. Served with a side of "bistro sauce" (1000 Island dressing) for dipping. Pretty tasty, those and a couple pints made for a decent lunch. OTOH, the footy stank, Wolves had tons of chances, but couldn't score, Aston Villa held, 0-0.

A roll of unseasoned and slightly outdated rice noodles (best before -date 1st March 2021) with butter, salt and black pepper. A 2-egg omelette in the microwave. A simple, pretty tasty and very late lunch for a night owl like me. For many people it's dinner time here.

I had capirotada. It's a Mexican bread pudding made with cinnamon, panela, syrup, bolillo and cheese  Edited by Meow

Have you tried cumin seeds? I find them more effective than medicine.

I haven't heard of this but I will sure give it a try. Is there a particular amount you should take?

I usually chew them for about five minutes. You have to break them down completely in your mouth, let their properties mix with your saliva and then swallow them. They are also known as caraway seeds, but I would buy those marked/named cumin for best effect.
