driventotheedge
Guy was an absolute beast. https://www.baseball...richaj.01.shtml Yes, yes he was.I don't hate the Asstros from the past, just the cheating fukkers of the present. By extension I want the Red Sox to suck balls too for hiring the cheating manager

Principled Man
Former catcher Paul Lo Duca has to pay infamously bad umpire Joe West $500,000.00! Defamation lawsuit! Lo Duca accused West of changing his strike zone for pitcher Billy Wagner in exchange for personal favors.

The Analog Cub
Great, Hendricks is down. Illness, it sounds like. Hope it's not COVID and that if it is, he comes back alright. Arrieta has been surprisingly wonderful so far but I don't trust anyone else on the staff besides these two.

The Analog Cub
Completely stole that one. Not even sure how. Give the bullpen credit where due. They stepped up huge tonight after Hendricks got scratched. Mills gave up a home run but was clean otherwise and the pen held it the rest of the way. Bats are still a disgrace for the most part but they did the minimum.

No one wants to be known as a "Hard Luck Pitcher"..... GET HIM SOME RUNS!! And as for the not-so-smart move of throwing behind Woodruff, the Cubs should know that if they crowd the plate, pitchers are still gonna pitch inside, and they’re gonna get hit from time to time. Suck it up, buttercup! The Brewers do not intentionally throw at hitters. Contreras gets hit the most often, because he crowds the plate. He has no reason to get all upset. Thankfully, in Hendricks' case, it's not COVID, but the Cubs have been one of the better stories as far as isolation and testing goes.
Principled Man
After three starts and 18 innings, Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes has more RBI’s (2) than runs allowed (1). 0.049 ERA, 30 K’s, 0 Walks. He’s only 1-1, as his teammates’s bats have been really shaky. All the Brewers’ starters have been pitching great.....so far.

In all seriousness, though, him and Woodruff are scary. The Cubs’ bats will awaken soon enough. The Brewers’ bats aren’t much better, especially with Yelich and Cain out of the lineup. Burnes was on the verge of being sent back down or released after 2019. His control was erratic, and he was giving up homer after homer. In 2020, something clicked “ON”, and he’s been great ever since. Woodruff hasn’t been as dominant, but he’s still a stud. Freddy Peralta is no longer a one-pitch pitcher. Houser and Anderson have been solid so far. The Brewers’ middle relief stinks at the moment, which is why I worry so much about early leads. Counsell loves to pull his starters as early as possible.....I HATE THAT.
driventotheedge
James Paxton threw exactly 24 PITCHES for the Mariners this year and made 8.1 million before being injured and is now done for the year at least. Good work if you can get it. I could say stuff about the franchise being cursed, etc. but really Seattle, dude's been on the IR more than he's pitched the last few years. Why even risk the money?
