5 minutes of free basketball.

This is why you do those extra pushups in October.

However bad the second game is it won't be as bad as the between game "entertainment".

wtf was that?

As it was going on my buddy and me were discussing acreage in eastern WA/northern ID. 40 acres for under $50k.

Would you want to live in Idaho? It's the Alabama of the NW. Eastern WA is where the white supremacists elected a fellow racist, Matt Shea, to state rep, and re-elected him multiple times. Your moderate views would be looked upon as far left by those bigots.

We all know you're stupid. No need to brag

So now it's you, Maverick, and labt in a threesome. Nice. All pointing out what kind of people you are, at least as long as you're behind the keyboard. Stay classy.

Good win for Gonzaga, but a pyrrhic one as NCAA President Mark Emmett has ruled the win will be forfeited due to Matt Shea representing Spokane in the Washington statehouse.

Still, an all time great game, and a huge scare for the Zags, as UCLA shot well above their season average. It will likely go down as one of the top 10, and probably top 5 final four games ever. A fun game to watch!

Holy SHIT

Suggs is from this area, and seems to be a great kid. Glad to see him come through in the clutch with not only great athleticism, but incredibly quick thinking to race the ball up the court immediately after a crushing occurrence.

What in my post is wrong, remembering that there is some opinion there?

Also, you're generally not much of an emotional type poster. Are you pulling a DPR and hitting the sauce which loosens things up and brings out the real you?

Sooooooooooooooooo, I live and breathe Zags hoops and that was fukking AMAZING! And while I am extremely happy, as someone who played at the low college level (NAIA) and understands the game completely, I have little doubt that if Gonzaga doesn't play defense at a level well beyond what they played tonight, they will not win Monday.

I sincerely hope they do.

Yep. Baylor is a much better team than UCLA and even if Gonzaga plays well, they're going to have their hands full, imo.

An idiotic use of broad-brush generalizations.

Are you familiar with the things the state legislature in Idaho is doing? Did you not see the picture or video of the parents and their children burning their masks at the capital? As for eastern Washington, I suppose Shea could have been initially elected and the voters weren't aware of his stance on minorities (not likely, but possible), but he was re-elected 4 times and there's almost zero chance his views were still a secret.

Maybe you should make a thread in SOCN.

Since this is actually a thread about college basketball, let's watch the last few seconds of an amazing game.

One of the best games in tournament history. The two teams' stat lines were nearly identical, with UCLA having a slight edge in 3-point shooting and, remarkably, rebounding. Great individual performances too, with Juzang, Jaquez, Campbell for the Bruins and Suggs, Kispert, Ayayi and Timme for Gonzaga.

Can't wait for the Baylor-Gonzaga showdown.

UCLA played out of their mind and gave us an all time great game.

I'm cheering for the Zags big time, I'm not a fan of Scott Drew.

I got in a blind draw suicide pool at the outset of the tourney and was lucky enough to draw Baylor. Being from Spokane, I am rooting for Gonzaga, but the cash from a Baylor win will help soften the heartache. :P Edited by goose

Also from Spokane as you likely already know. NO amount of money less than 6 figures would ease my heartache if they lose tonight.

I'm watching the final quarter of yesterday's women's tournament and what a game it is/was! Arizona goes on a 10-2 run to get things tight at 50-51, and it goes back and forth with little scoring up to 53-54 with 35 seconds left. Arizona plays lockdown defense to force the St a.c Ford shot clock violation. 6.1 seconds left for an Arizona winning shot...

Off the time out Arizona inbounds to McDonald who ends up dribbling it out t the top of the of the arc, against a triple team, while her teammates stand around. She heaves a prayer at the buzzer, but it's not close. Disappointing that the coach didn't set something better up, something with some penetration.

Now re-watching the final two minutes of regulation time from ZAGS-UCLA. In just two minutes we get a fantastic block by Suggs leading to a fast-break dunk, a clutch jumper by Juzang to answer, clutch free throws by Jaquez to lock it at 81-81, a Riley block against Suggs, and the heady charge taken by Timme.

Just great basketball.

I wonder sometimes if players take some of that on themselves or it's 100% the coach who says player xx takes the final shot? In the UCLA game, Juzang was the same way. It's pretty obvious that he's the best UCLA player on the floor but the other team is almost certainly going to expect that he shoots so why not drive and pass out to someone who is open for an easier shot unless the Juzang defender falls down or gets screened?

Also, your use of "penetration" is wholly inappropriate for a women's game and is a form of harassment. Reported.
