They had a bluesier edge, to my ears, than all of the hair bands I can think of. Also, I saw them live, support act for David Lee Roth on his Skyscraper tour, in 1988. They were REALLY good live. I find Tesla's bluesier edge more compelling. Frank is very nice. Troy too. Brian Wheat is sweet. Not a Jeff Keith fan and his voice sounds like shit now. I love the first four TESLA albums. ACOUSTIC JAM SUCKS! So boring. They are from Sacramento. Went up there to see them in their home town. They put me to sleep. I did see TESLA and KIX open up for GREAT WHITE. TESLA blew them all away. That was the "RADIO" tour.
