Now reading reports Turner was belligerent when told to isolate. Assuming Manfred has sobered up from Tuesday night, he's probably going to face some kind of discipline.

Nope. No discipline.

That's because Manfred is a gutless worm.

Yep. His testicles were removed when he took office. Was obvious in his lack of action with the cheating Asterisks

BWAHAHA, more Assterisk douchebaggery. Former GM Jeff Luhnow suing team, claiming a Sergeant Schultz on sign stealing, and that he was scapegoated in an agreement negotiated between Assholes owner Jim Crane and Commissioner Rob Boyfred so the 'Holes could retain their Series championship. Luhnow wants $22 mil+ in unpaid salary and his name cleared. I hope he takes them to the cleaners.

I have no love for Crane, and especially not for Manfred, but if anything, Luhnow is a bigger scumbag than both of them. Not only for being in (at the very least) aware of cheating in the sign stealing scandal, but it's certainly possible that he was involved in the scandal regarding stealing information from the Cardinals. I hope he wins his case but only gets a penny.

Thanks, LABT, I was looking for another take on the situation, interesting.

Miami Marlins make history in hiring Kim Ng, first female GM in MLB history.

Given the evolution of the GM position over the last few years, there's no reason she can't be outstanding.

Robinson Cano gone for 2021season after getting pinged for Stanozolol, forfeits $24 mil in salary.

Steve Cohen is improving that team already.

Just finished replying to a friend's post on Facebook. Her post was about the Cleveland Indians and how they named their team to honor Louis Sockalexis, a Native American player on the team (1897-1899). It was my unfortunate duty to inform her that the story is a myth, that the Cleveland team as well as its fans did not in any way honor Sockalexis.

Every game, Sockalexis was taunted by fans in the stands. In 1915, sixteen years after he left the team and Baseball, the owners Cleveland Spiders decided to change the team's name to the Indians. They promoted the team as savage warriors, who were to be feared. Not once did they mention Sockalexis. Cleveland newspapers then printed many stories and cartoons that used blatant stereotypes about Native Americans and how they spoke and lived.

I hope that my friend reads all the info that I put on her post. I hope that she can handle a friend saying that she's "wrong". :eh:

Congrats to Howie Kendrick on his retirement. Loved having him on my Angels and was happy he got his ring for DC. He had a Wade Boggs and Tony Gwynn style early in his career. Not quite as high as them average wise but finishing career .294 ain't bad. Edited by invisible airwave

No new HOF members elected, Schilling closest at 70.6%.

"[Kurt] Schilling, in a lengthy letter to the Hall that he also posted to Facebook, asked to be removed from the writers' ballot next year.

"I will not participate in the final year of voting. I am requesting to be removed from the ballot. I'll defer to the veterans committee and men whose opinions actually matter and who are in a position to actually judge a player," Schilling wrote. "I don't think I'm a hall of famer as I've often stated but if former players think I am then I'll accept that with honor."
