What Are We Drinking Tonight??

Tonight I will be having 2 or 3 oz. of bourbon, my favorite whiskey.

Tonight I will be enjoying Blanton's, which is one of my favorites. I liked it back before everyone else did, and now its annoyingly unavailable and expensive, but I laid me hands on some and will enjoy it this evening!

It was a beautiful evening and we finally got out to this brewery for dinner and to taste a steam beer that they finished in January in honor of Neil. The food and beer were great and it is such a relaxing place; the deck is out over a famous trout stream. Nice evening.

  Thank you, but I'm busted! Only the bottom one of the beer on the menu is one I took. The other two are lifted from their Instagram site. I did take some photos on the deck last night but they didn't turn out that well. It is a cool place so I wanted to show it. I liked the one of the keg with the date on it; they really did do it as a tribute for Neil. I didn't see the brewmaster guy or I would have thanked him.

Is that white wine? lol

I'm enjoying a chardonnay right now. It's October, but we're still getting deep into the 80s for high temps, and a crisp white fits the bill. Whiskey is a winter drink for me, and I prefer Irish, Scotch or Canadian. I just don't have a taste for bourbons, unless it's in a mint julip.

I love those too. Bourbon is a different animal for sure. I just finished a bottle of Tullamore Dew that was lovely.

Speaking of which have you ever tried this?

It's superb, but (near me anyway) annoyingly hard to get.

TD was my dad's personal favorite, always from the ceramic jug.

I had this last night. TBH I bought it because of the Monty Python novelty factor.

It was actually pretty good! Fresh, hoppy and with a slight citrus tone.
