What's for lunch

Grilled cheese sandwiches.

With a bowl of tomato soup, it makes a good lunch - that is, if it is tomato soup weather. Don't know about your neck of the woods, but temps hovering around and over 100, as where I am, isn't exactly tomato soup weather. :(

No soup weather here, either! But as a quick and tasty lunch, a grilled cheese is hard to beat. The wife makes 'em with velveeta and lots of butter and mayo, but those are a bit too much for me, so I prefer a thin schmeer of butter and some Sargento slices -- colby jack and pepper jack are good -- until the bread is the right golden brown and the cheese is soft but not running everywhere. It was good, and maybe I've talked myself into an encore for today!

I like Sargento Cheese. Tillamook too.

I'll try the colby and pepper jack combo. It sounds good.

:bacon:

Going to cook some up for the Lad today. :)

It was turkey bacon, the Dan Quayle of bacon. "I serve bacon. I know bacon. Bacon is a friend of mine. Turkey Meat...you're no bacon." :P

Todays Lunch/Dinner is Tacos .... with all the trimmings including a tasty Mexican Villa salsa I acquired on our last trip to Missouri.

A few bottles of Corona to wash it down.
