Let me try:

1. Futures (10/10)

2. Clarity (9/10)

3. Invented (10/10)

4. Bleed American (10/10)

5. Integrity Blues (9/10)

6. Surviving (9/10)

7. Damage (8/10)

8. Static Prevails (8/10)

9. Chase This Light (8/10)

It changed all the time though. Clarity is a 9, but it's mostly the highest 10 imaginable.

It's a ten until halfway through the final track.

I just can't ... Bring myself to deny the fact it has my least favourite moment in any Jimmy album.

To me, that flaw is a big deal within this discography.

But even if I can't give it a ten, I won't put it lower than second place.

Sin and Dead Men are both flawless albums. I hope they can make it three in row.

I'd love that!

So, I would say that Trivium has five perfect albums.

Ascendency

Shogun

In Waves

The Sin and The Sentence

What The Dead Men Say

I felt it was so strange that I had never given them a try until recently. But the more I thought about it, I realized that this was a good time to get into them. It feels like the band is at a point where they have fully developed and know exactly who they are. They also have just enough albums currently that I was able to experience all they had to offer. So I don't feel bad about not getting into them sooner. They're still very young too, so I don't have that I missed out on the good old days vibe when I listen to them.

We have the same choices!

Trivium are only slightly older than me. I feel I've grown up with them.

Now I love all their albums, but the choices you picked are the ones I rate most highly.

They mean the world to me. I don't regard them as my favourite band, but looking back on it, they are without a doubt one of the most important bands of my life.

I always look forward to new music from them, but I also love the interviews, the videos they share, there interaction with fans...

They are one of the few bands whose b-sides are essential listening, and they are one of the few metal bands who change their sound up drastically and still have my heart (oh, In Flames).

However, Ember To Inferno, The Crusade, Vengeance Falls and Silence In The Snow are massively played in my house.

My favourite album of the year is between Paradise Lost and Trivium.

Somehow, that should be predictable. But I'm gutted I don't vibe with Human Nature as much as I was desperate too. I really thought I needed more Nightwish, but it turns out I needed on form Paradise Lost and Trivium more.

On a different note, I'm adding more and more to my Iced Earth collection.

It's hard for me to think of many bands I think are as woefully overlooked as them.

My fav album is Trivium from this year.

Human Nature is a good album buy i think NW is is a band where i i can say......stick to your formula. you apparently do better with bombast.

Be the metal Meat Loaf you truly are, lol

It's also, for me, Floor.

Why have a singer of such great potential sound so plain?

As a big Floor fan, I won't lie, I think she's being held back in Nightwish. And as a massive Nightwish fan, it kinda hurts to say that.

Northward was an album that's getting better and better with replays. ReVamp was shaky, but vocally she explored almost everything she is capable of. Combine the best elements of her or even Tuomas's songwriting with the full scope of her range, and honest to god, you could have an album for the ages.

I just don't enjoy Human Nature the way I normally would. It's a weird blend of too good to be disappointing, too underwhelming to blow my mind.

I had to leave Nightwish groups who are praising this album like the second coming.

Meanwhile, Paradise Lost blew me away after two albums that left me feeling like Human Nature did. So it's not all bad.

As for Trivium, I have no idea why I wasn't highly anticipating it. Maybe I'm so used to loving what they do, it didn't pass my mind that it would offer much in the way of surprise haha

It did exactly what Trivium tend to do for me. And that's fantastic!

I'm excited for Biffy Clyro, and possibly more Within Temptation. I enjoyed their new single, and I hope there is more to come, even if it's just an EP.

Let me, out of boredom, rank Within Temptation:

1. The Heart Of Everything

2. Resist

3. The Silent Force

4. Mother Earth

5. The Unforgiving

6. Enter

7. Hydra

8. The Dance EP

Very close. we just differ on Resist. that's the only huge gap.
