Two songs which serve similar purposes on their relatively similar albums, but which do you prefer?

I first became aware of 'Stick It Out' when I was watching Beavis and Butt-Head in the 90's with my younger brother.

He liked the series and owned a copy of The Beavis And Butt-Head Experience album noted here.

I first saw RUSH in concert on the Time Machine Tour and was glad they performed the song live.

I choose 'Stick It Out' over 'Driven'.

Stick It Out has the nostalgia angle advantage as Counterparts came out the year I transferred to a major university. A great, memorable year. Everything seemed fresh to me and Rush seemed to have a new attitude which matched what i was experiencing at the time.

I prefer Driven as a song though.

Stick It Out is pretty good. It's the first song I heard from Counterparts, and they played it on the radio in advance of the album's release (remember them days?). It was nice to hear Rush sounding like a proper rock band again after the sterile sound of the HYF-RTB era.

That said, Driven is far better.

Stick it Out, it's metal.

I think Geds put me off Driven. He did a good version of it but then I went away and I couldn't help thinking if Geds can do a good version of it, is it really that good? And I can't shake the feeling so I have to dismiss it as a song, especially in a contest like this. Stick it Out therefore destroys for the win

Difficult, It really depends on my mood.

I hear the guitar and bass mostly, in these two songs - in my head, now. SIO sounds like it would be more fun to play, Driven has maybe some bass I like better.

Stick It Out would be great on a party mix. Driven makes me start frowning and moving my fingers, all heavy rock and such.

/Driven.

Stick it Out is a pile of shit.

I hope I never have diarrhea that bad.

I've liked both "Stick It Out", and "Driven" the same. I didn't vote. On, and during Rush's Test For Echo Tour, I thought they were a good combination after each other. At the beginning of "Stick It Out", the guitar sound reminds me similar to the beginning of "Limelight".
