Cutting out songs over 6 minutes cuz they'll probably win anyway and I'm not interested in pitting La Villa vs. Working Man.

This poll wasn't quite as hard as picking the best album of 1973, but it is a reminder that Rush really knew how to build up & close down an album experience. Lots of personal favorites on this list. I went with "Vital signs," but honorable mention to "Mystic Rhythms," "Everyday Glory," "Between the Wheels," and "Available Light."

Close battle between Vital Signs and Everyday Glory but I chose VS because it's such a classic.

I also had to put on High Water and Countdown because those were 2 good contenders as well

So, this is the best album closer, not necessarily the best song overall. For me that boils it down to Available Light and Mystic Rhythms...and I'll go with Available Light.

I went with Vital Signs but Between the Wheels and Available Light aren't very far behind.

I'm one of the few that likes High Water too. It's no Vital Signs but I do enjoy it.

Of the last 5 tracks listed, I dislike 3 of them while 2 are disposable.

I don’t know if I’d call it “dogshit”. “Bullshit” maybe, but “dogshit”? I have to think on that one. :P

YBYL is easily the worst of the bunch for me. EG would be second worst.

Oh God, yes....YBYL is even worse if that's at all possible.

ETA.....EG is so bad it made me spell it wrong.

I never used to care for it, but I gained a new appreciation for it after watching the Time Stand Still documentary. Still not a favorite of mine, but I enjoy it.

Between the Wheels by some margin.

One of their best for sure. I'm surprised Vital Signs is doing so well against it actually.

I'm more surprised that Carve Away the Stone and Out of the Cradle got any votes at all. Double vote by one TRFer though so they're both disqualified!!!! :P

"Available Light" one of the best closers out of all of these? I don't think so

Between the Wheels.

If not that, then Available Light

Dark horse: Carve Away The Stone

Available Light better than Vital Signs?

We Hold On and High Water had no votes

But Available Light did?

WTF

Available Light is the favorite of many from Presto, whereas We Hold On and High Water are both seen as some of the weakest material on their respective albums by many TRFers. Not nearly all of them mind you, but many.

I never really understood the praise for Available Light, that's one of the weaker songs from that album
