8/1/20: Judas Priest- Sad Wings Of Destiny

They skipped a day. Bitches. But they came back today with a fantastic choice!

Anyone here heard of Judas Priest?

I have!

The sound Priest created with this album along with the four albums that followed had more influence on the metal sound than anything else in the genre.

Yeah, they were kind of a big deal in metal.

They were? Shocked!

Lol I enjoyed playing this again today. Still sounds magnificent now, I think this album will never lose its magic.

Ok so they did two today

9/1/20: Metallica- Ride The Lightning

A more obvious choice, and a great one too.

I wish play count was a thing years ago like it is today. Because I am really curious how many times I have listened to the first five Metallica albums? It has to be in the thousands.

Those albums are gold.

I only sound harsh on the black album because it bores me as a whole. I separately love all the songs.

I'm probably not a metal fan if those albums never existed.

7/1/20: Morbid Angel- Blessed Are The Sick

Erm...glad to have finally listened to some Morbid Angel. I neither loved nor hated this.

It's not Morbid's best--the production is pretty thin, but I love the classical interludes. Dark f***ing album.

That second album is by Dark Angel, not Death Angel. I know, because Death Angel is one of my favorite 80's thrash bands and I believe they should be in that 'Big 4' (5)?

I love Death Angel too, but to be honest, they're probably not big enough to be in the Big Four. If there were to ever be a fifth, I would vote Exodus. But honestly, they aren't as big as those others either.
