Rick N. Backer
Cole to the Yanks. 9 years, 324 million. I called it BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!! West Coast guy, lol. I'm a little bummed to lose Gregorius though.Cole to the Yanks. 9 years, 324 million. I called it BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!! West Coast guy, lol. I'm a little bummed to lose Gregorius though.Cole may have trouble adjusting to the Yankee organization. I think they have rules against eating boogers in the clubhouse. I guess it's nice to know after spending close to $3 billion in the 2010s, the answer to their WS drought is to spend more.I've seen this movie before (Carl Pavano, AJ Burnett) but like Roadhouse, I enjoy it every time it comes on. We shall see. He may also be Sabathia or Mussina. How are Sale's and Price's contract prospects looking for you? Keeping Mookie? Other than 2009, what did Sabathia get the Yankees? How much did they pay him? Mussina. lol. They both pitched up to their deals, which is more than Price and Sale can say. The Sox are sunk for the next 4 years. They won the series in 2018. Largely on the strength of Price, and got there because of Sale. The Sox will beat the Yankees out next year in the division. As they have for most of this century. And now they are both washed up, yet you are on the hook for almost 300 million between the two of them. Throw in Eovaldi and his contract, the fact you're going to lose Mookie and your lack of a farm system, and the Sox are royally porked. I would gladly put money on your assertion of who will win the division next year but seeing as you backed out of the easy one last time I won't bother. You also may be losing your manager for a considerable period of time once the cheating scandal is all sorted out. I’m a Red Sox fan. I’m not on the team, nor do I own them. The Yankees will continue their run of fruitless October’s in 2020. You hope... You sound like the taurus of the baseball world. Why? Every winter Yankee fans start crowing about how their big free agent signing means another title. Hasn't happened in what will be over a decade now. And depending on whether you place 2000 in the 20th or 21st century, it's only happened once or twice since the turn of the century. Please quote an example where I did that. Then I will continue. Oh, I see. Your enthusiasm about the Cole signing is about the joy of watching him compete. :eyeroll: Not at all. But you are making blanket statements about Yankee fans and general where I am trying to argue specifics. Hence the Taurus reference. But go ahead. I'll make the same offer. Calling from 2 to 6 and convince them the Red Sox should be the favorites this year for the division. Anyone can run their mouth on a message board. So let's argue specifics. What were you driving at with your "BITCHES" post above regarding the Cole signing? I can't call Felgy and Mazz in December and talk about the AL East. In March I might take you up on that. Right now I just can't muster too much interest.

I mean that I personally can't talk baseball in December. How people can focus on it right now amazes me.

1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Is Cora next? Imagine the managers of both the 2017 and 2018 World Series-winning teams -- with Cora being the link between the two -- getting fired for cheating.
Nova Carmina
Is Cora next? How could he not be? The Astros report says that as a bench coach, Cora helped to organize the scheme; surely that's a suspension, independent of anything the Red Sox may have done? Will FSG man up like the Astros owner did and fire Cora? That's the next question, I'd think.
edhunter
Cheating rat-bastard Cora is gone. With the Sox being repeat offenders, they should lose all draft picks for 3 years, all International pool money for 3 years, and have their luxury tax threshold set at 100 million. Dirty f***s.
