I'm confused on what you're trying to do here.

a) You needed to rip a dvd to an audio file. You did that.

b) What next?

I cannot transfer the audio file to Windows Media player?

Not really sure what you mean here....WMP is just that...a player...you don't transfer things to it.....what you probably mean is does WMP read it and does it appear in the library section?

You don't really transfer files to the player. The player plays whatever files you tell it to.

Try this:

1) Right Click on your audio file.

2) From the menu you should see, Add to Windows Media Player Playlist and Open With (> select Windows Media Player).

3) Add to Playlist will add the file to the current playlist. Open With will play the file now.

Also, if you want it to be in your Music Library, you need to Move or Copy the file to your Music Folder.

Whatever program you used to rip the dvd probably placed the ripped file in a folder that is 'outside' of your main music folder. Unless you tell WMP to specifically look in that folder it will never see the file. So move or copy it to your music folder to fix this.

Does this help?

Canadianice, I bought that concert about a month ago. I bought the blu-ray/DVD package. I wish he had offered the audio cd's with this release. I'm sure that somewhere in the near future he'll make them available to his fans. I discovered Frank Marino and mahogany rush in 1975 through the columbia record club. Never heard a note from this band before I pushed the 8-track into the slot. Needless to say, they/he became a forever band for me(like Rush, UFO, & Robin Trower, all of which I discovered in 1975. I've only watched 2 hours of the full concert, and can't wait to get back to it. I loved every note he played. By the way, have you seen that he's going on tour around April 2020. He booked a show at a club called the Vault, in New Bedford, Mass. about 30 minutes from my house. My good friend just bought 7 tickets to the show. I never thought this late into his career, I would ever see him live. A dream come true.

Yes sir, Frank is the man, I have been following him since Day 1. The new DVD is outstanding, I have enjoyed all 12 hours of it.

I'll try and rip it for you...done.

It's only one single track of the whole set rather than being divided into separate tracks.
