Nike value up over 26 billion since signing Kaepernick. Those boycotts crippled them!

Nike is the best marketed product of all time IMO. I think their shoes are crap, and their active wear is only slightly better, but it would be difficult to get my teenage kids to wear anything else.

I remember having that same discussion with my friends -- we also disagreed about Porsh vs. PorshUh.

I guess it's not realistic to assume they recognized that if you're going to name something after the Greek goddess of victory, then you should pronounce the final vowel?

Dallas coverts a 4th and 11 to the 45yd line. Or do they?

Dallas had just been marched back on a phantom tripping call after getting a first down...so this reversal will be heartbreaking.

Patriot ball with 1:44 to go...

Interesting results yesterday: big wins, big losses -- but the Bengals still suck.

I'll give the Dallas game a proper moan in the Cowboys thread, but man, that was your classic "what could have been" game.

Too bad about the Pack, Principled Man! Who had the Raiders getting pummeled by the Jets? That sure did the Chiefs a favor.

Is it a sign of the Patriots vulnerability that they keep winning these close games, or a sign that their dominance simply goes grinding on?

They're 10-1. They have one of the best defenses in the league. We've been hearing how vulnerable they are for almost half of their 19 season run of success.

Brady's going to hit the wall eventually, since he's 42. He hasn't yet though. So the AFC championship is probably in Gillette this year.

To be 10-1 with that offense's lineup is a testament to Brady's greatness.

To be fair, the defense has done most of the heavy lifting this season. But when the offense has struggled, Brady has not been the principal problem.

To be 10-1 with that offensive lineup is a testament to the defense and schedule maker. But mostly the schedule maker.

Someday you'll say, "You know, Tom Brady's not a bad football player." Someday.

He was a very good football player, outstanding at times. Got the most out of his abilities, and was put into a system that fit his skills well.

Many years ago there was a comparison made between 2 guys who got fined for their infractions. One guy was convicted of some minor type of domestic abuse and another one wore the wrong type of socks. The guy who wore the wrong socks was fined more than the abuser.

Of course, now that would likely be different because of all the negative publicity about domestic abuse, but back then it showed where the NFL had their priorities.

A Lions-Bears game with actual scoring? A pleasant surprise, so far.

So far being the key phrase. It's reverting quickly. They may already have hit the over, though.... ;)
