I've liked Eddie, too. I'm sorry, he's passed away, now, too. My condolences, to his family, and friends. He will be missed. R.I.P., Eddie. Edited by Derek19

But ------------- I just posted about a month ago that he just announced he was sick. How did he go so fast??? I'm shocked!

EDIT: Here: http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/108260-eddie-money/

It was August 24th.

Not for nothing, but if I ever have to die from cancer, that's the way I want to go too. Find out and gone in a few weeks.

Rest in peace, Eddie. :rose:

Cancer is the absolute worst way to die. The final stages of that I would only wish on someone I had a vile hatred for. I can't imagine what the person is feeling in those final days before it takes them. The body is failing in its functions and nothing can be done about it. You go very fast once that happens.

Dying quietly in your sleep has always seemed to me like the best way to go. You don't feel anything and then you're just gone.

I'd rather not die, if given the choice.

Well sure.

But there's no guarantee that you wouldn't get bored and want out after a couple hundred years. Forever is a lot of time to fill.

What's interesting is when I hear the intro to 'Take Me Home Tonight/Be My Baby' by Eddie Money, that I immediately think of the intro to 'Run To You' by Bryan Adams.

This makes me feel sad. :( I had a horrible, boring job at a county park one summer and we got through it by listening to Eddie on a little clock radio. I always liked him. Rest In Paradise, Eddie, we'll still be listening. :rose:

From what I've been reading, by the time they discovered the cancer, it was in more places than one. It said he died from a cancer-related illness, but didn't mention what.

EDIT: Says he died from complications from heart valve surgery
