J2112YYZ
How does looking at his hand and nails indicate he has an acoustic album in the works? Edited September 10, 2019 by J2112YYZ
treeduck
He's still not done a great electric solo album yet!

JohnnyBlaze
Maybe he’s just being a gross old man and hasn’t cut his nails in eons

JARG
How does looking at his hand and nails indicate he has an acoustic album in the works? It doesn't. That said, long nails on the right hand of a (right-handed) guitarist usually means that player does a lot of finger-picking. If you do a lot of finger-picking, then the chances are good that you're doing that finger-picking on an acoustic or classical guitar. Alex isn't a good enough finger-picker to do a classical guitar album (at least not without embarrassing himself), so it's probable that, if he's doing an album at all, there could be quite a bit of acoustic guitar content.
lifeson90
Maybe at this stage of his life he taken the classical guitar finger pickin thing more seriously, cmon Al another solo album both eletric/acoustic be a godsend
Blue J
I would love it if this were accurate. Time will tell...
Lorraine
I don't think so. Alex isn't really an acoustic type. But I've been known to be wrong before, so ...
Planet X-1
The last acoustic inspired album by Alex was S&A... I'll pass... :P
upstateNYfan
I'm feeling that we'll see an album and tour from Alex and Geddy, and if I had to guess, I'd say Dave Grohl will be on the skins. He's a good drummer, knows them, would fill seats and complement their music. The wild card is what they'd play. Guessing 2020.

HemiBeers
Lorraine posted a pic of Al the other day around the Permanent Waves era with longer, manicured nails on his pick hand. So yeah, he's had those for a while. Either he's used them for fingerpicking or he's dabbling with Charlene's press-on nails. He's done some nice acoustic ditties in the past, but not enough to justify an album.
