Slow-cooked tri-tip roast.

What did you use? A crockpot? If so, how long and what did you add for flavor/liquid?

What did you have with it?

Was it good?

crockpot on low, six hours

au jus packet

wifey made brussel sprouts and we ate the meat with an italian loaf

nom!

Did you season the meat?

No potatoes?

Was it tender or stringy?

Garlic, salt, pepper, italian herb mix

No spuds. We don't eat potatoes in the warmer months as they seem too heavy.

Tender and stringy, in the best possible way!

It was another Saturday free concert night last night, so we hosted another open house. We set out a tapas-style buffet that included grilled chicken, brats, calamari, ceviche, fruit and caprese salad skewers, toasted french bread, cheeses...

We had a nice turn out, the band was great, and the post-concert conversation lasted till midnight.

Another summer series concert, and another open house. The acts were both Celtic bands (Wicked Tinkers were the headliners), so wifey made shepherds pie. Lots of other goodies were added for a nice buffet.

Music and fellowship around the fire till just around midnight. :)

Your life is so far removed from my own and many others. You are so fortunate to have made intelligent decisions in your life.

It is wonderful that you and your family are able to do such things. :)

Thanks, Lorraine...kind of you to say that. My youth was far from perfect, but my fortune in life since is not lost on me.

Double cheese and fries

I will eat this artery clogging food as long as I can. :codger: Why let good food go to waste?

Love me a good burger. And a bad one, for that matter.

Now I'm dreaming of Dick's...

Blackberry mole chicken, coconut rice and beans with corn tortilla at a Mexican place with family.

I LOVE mole, but have never had it with blackberries. Sounds incredible.

I don't make mole or curry enough.
