Greatest thing I`d ever seen, before girls. Knew I could never be that cool ...That's 1987 which is about right. All of a sudden all the guitarists who used Jacksons and Charvels and ESPs started using Ibanez such as Vai, Satch Paul Gilbert and Vinnie Moore. It was Holdsworth who first used an Ibanez super strat though back in 1985 when he dropped his own Charvels.

Appreciate the recommendation!

I can live with that. But you didn't tell me he was dead! One day I'll like a musician or band that might actually make another record...

And his output kind mostly stopped after about 2002. He did a lot of great stuff in the 70's with many bands Gong, Bruford, Soft Machine, Tony Williams and so on. An album you might like to try is UK, it features Bill Bruford, Eddie Jobson and John Wetton along with Holdsworth. It's kind of a prog rock super group. Try this song from that album this is from 1978: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekygM0TGQNE Edited August 13, 2019 by treeduck
