grep
It wouldn't be Rush. Not ever. But I can see it happening. Perhaps that's just desperation - hoping that Ged and Al do /something/ more together before it's too late. As long as Geddy and Alex are in it, it’s Rush. Drums are just drums and no one ever got into Rush for the lyrics. Not the case - they've both said "No Neil, no Rush." It's all 3 or nothing. They don't mean it. They hate him. They always have. He's always been a grumpy old sod.
ytserush
This article is the worst form of 'clickbait' and 'fishbait' I've ever seen. Quick! Someone call Eddie Trunk!

chemistry1973
They share a producer - Nick R. Dave appears on the 2112 Reissue. As Lorraine pointed out above, their moms are pals. I'm going to put Dave as Lifeson-Lee/Rush's new drummer in the "most likely" column. Hardly, Grohl isn’t good enoughI’ll stop you right there. Fordgalaxy
It's hard to tell if Dave has the technical expertise but he definitely has the sheer power.

Good thing I was never one for lyrics anyway. Same with me. I’m a music person. Not a lyric person. I’ve listened to some Rush music for many years, singing along to every word, and never realized what the song was about. One example is Red Sector A. I bet I listened to that for over 20 years before I realized what the song was about.

Even the '74-'75 stuff is at least FUN, but never awful. For me the comparison is the huge majority of popular trash - plastic bubblegum.
Lorraine
Below interviewer Alan Cross attempted to get the question out of Geddy (beginning at the 2:05 mark) of why Dave Grohl was with him and was vague in his answer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qthDEig-EQ Aha!!!!!! Chemistry and I won't say "We told you so." when it happens.

RushFanForever
In a way, I look at the close brotherly friendship with Geddy and Dave Grohl, much in the same way as Ringo Starr and Joe Walsh. Starr and Walsh's wives are both siblings of one other, so in a way Geddy and Dave's Mom's are close like sisters too, but not related.

Wouldn't surprise me though if Grohl was exerting some friendly pressure about releasing something.
grasbo
Never got into Rush’s music since I am partially deaf.It was the lyrics that got me,especially the Trees, but I am going blind so the missus reads me their lyrics ,loudly ,when she puts me to bed.Dave Grohl seems like a nice chap.Does he write books. RushFanForever
I just discovered this video of highlights from the CosmoFest 2019 event where Geddy Lee did a book singing earlier this year with Dave Grohl also present. The above begins at the 3:14 mark below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEz4Fw_4CdM Edited September 13, 2019 by RushFanForever
