About to start watching The X Files, all the way from season 1.

I tried to watch the first two episodes of The Purge, and found it didn't match up to the movies; I just felt it was a bit too thin on the ground. And... boring.

Just started for the first time ever, Breaking Bad.

Three episodes in. Loved it from the start.

Wow.

So far, an easy breasy 10/10

I've been making my way through all the "monster of the week" (stand alone) episodes of The X-Files, from Season 1 forward. What a great show that was! Edited by GeddyRulz

In between watching Stanley Cup playoffs, I have managed to finally finish watching Orphan Black, Season 5. It is very dark but I love Tatania Maslany's acting skills, portraying 7 clones (that's the major characters, there are others as well) and they are all so different. I wonder how they managed to get her to show up on screen at the same time in numerous characters? Some crazy camera work.

Haven't been here as much as usual, but I'm back to NCIS again, and this season's ender show has ZIVA DAVID in it! But you'd have to see the show up to now to know WHY!

Have already watched the first five episodes of season 1 The X Files.

"Squeeze" (s1e3) is one of my very favorite episodes. The villain is so good, they bring him back in "Tooms."

I had never seen a single episode of the Sopranos until about 2 months ago. I banged it all out each morning at the gym.

The last season wasn't as good as the others. I'm not talking about the ending. The dialogue and writing throughout the entire season seemed forced to me.

Jack Ryan. Very good show and I'm a big John Kraczynski fan so that helps.

Deadwood. Good, but, f**k do they say "f**k" a lot.

I wanna go back to that show and watch it from the beginning, just used to dip in and out of it casually.

I'm not totally sold on the story, but the world they've created is good fun.

I remember the cursing used to be a bit OTT, I guess it was novel back then, seemed like every 10secs, wait for it...

I am almost through Peaky Blinders. Phenomenal series! Great acting. One of the best on Netflix that I have seen.

Started with high hopes for this but after the first few episodes it ran out of steam and became a bore.

Back to "Stranger Things"...going watch season 2.

Still have to catch up soon, too many people have recommended it.

Season three came out last week. May as well start it now. Netflix does have a tendency to cancel shows before they should. But Stranger Things is far too popular. I'm guessing it sticks around for a few more seasons.

Not sure...they cancelled Sense 8 and that show was massively popular and hyped. They make some strange decisions, Netflix.

Not that I think they will cancel Stranger Things, but they've made some poor choices. Cancelling the Marvel shows, often without resolutions, and no proper explanation (just leaving fans to theorise why) was poor. Cancelling Santa Clarita Diet, especially since there was a massive furore, has really pissed me off.

If they owned The Good Place, I bet they would have as well.

This is the first I've heard of Sense 8. So I don't know how hyped it really was. Stranger Things being canceled before giving it a proper ending would cause them to lose a lot of subscribers. The show is huge and Netflix would see a big drop off in customers if the show isn't given a proper send off. I will never forgive Netflix for cancelling Santa Clarita Diet but if they do the same with Stranger Things and don't have a quality show lined up to take it's place, people won't be happy. They can only jerk around the paying customers so much before they decide not to come back.

On to the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Borg have been introduced, Mick Fleetwood is currently an Antidian, a giant fish-like race.

I went on a Married With Children binge over the weekend. I still laugh my head off when I see it! I don't think I appreciated the acting when it originally aired, seriously. Ed O'Neill is awesome and Katy Segal and Christina Applegate have excellent comedic timing. David Faustino is pretty funny too. :ebert: :ebert: Edited by blueschica
