In Defense of Greta van Fleet

Kiszka - as in Polish blood sausage? That's an interesting last name. :)

I'm going to check this van fleet band out myself. I'll be back.

I like them. Don't get the hate.

That is all I was trying to say here. I have been into music for 50 years and I have heard way too many bands that are not as good as GVF. Are they great and generational? Probably not, but I just can't match the passionate venom against them on this thread. I don't get it. I saw them live and had a GREAT time. It's music. They play their own instruments - pretty well. That right there puts them ahead of a lot of the big "musical" acts today, in my opinion. Who knows why certain bands make it big?? I have seen some of the greatest musicians in the world toiling away in the bars. Life ain't fair. And the music business is certainly not fair. What do you get personally from hating so much....not sure. I do admit I admire some of the "passionate hate" in a purely literal and creative sense though!

I think certain members here have huge egos and feel they own the place, and think generally all should accept and appreciate their views or opinions because they egotistically think they know all about everything.

But that is just me.

Greta Van Fleet are very talented and show much promise. Who knows already just how many kids have discovered a whole world of new music, old and new, thanks to their success?

Lets defend a popular group from the mean rush haters....

Too funny as if these posers need defending....

They seem to be doing just fine despite or perhaps because of the shit storm they have stirred up with their led zep homage of sorts....

Damn straight! I have reviewed Greta Van Susteren songs and their SNL performance. With bonus points for being 313, I give these young dudes 4 stars out of 5. They are the future...along with The Struts.

Nothing more needs be said. 73 pin and close this thread.

They're not original, but they do have some talent. The lead singer looks like a hobbit.

Amongst Rush fans, Hobbits should be most welcome.

Frodo found a new friend named Josh. Ironically, Josh turned out to be his long-lost half brother from the outer end of Middle Earth. Frodo thought he had died in the Rivendell pandemic. But Josh miraculously survived the plague by stockpiling food, mead, masks and hand sanitizer. The dreadful plague had ended ten years ago. It was a terrible time for Middle Earth. Thousands of people just up and died. Frodo himself had fallen ill for two weeks, but the hobbit and his mates never lost hope. Sam, Merry and Pippen nursed Frodo back to health as best as they could before he finally recovered from his symptoms. A whole year had passed before the Wizards of Mordor discovered a vaccine to combat the malicious virus.

Frodo introduced his half-brother to Sam, Merry and Pippen. They travelled together happily and sang popular folk songs. But when they least expected it, they found themselves in the midst of a battle. Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippen and Josh were attacked by the Orcs and a cave troll who wreaked havoc in Rivendell. They defeated their enemies swiftly with flaming swords and the power of the Ring. They reached Mount Doom where the treacherous creature Gollum bit the Ring off Josh's finger before the River-Halfling fell into the fires at the base of the mountain. After the battle the hobbits retired to a cozy little cottage in the Shire where they met up with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey. Everyone lived as well as they knew how, until the next war came along...
