What's for lunch

Last night was much better than traditional microwave food boomer restaurants—for my birthday we went to a local Greek restaurant. Hadn’t been in five years. Still delicious!

Had mizithra pasta, far better than The Old Spaghetti Factory’s. The stuffed chicken, souvlaki, hummus and pita, and lemon rice were all great as well.

That's what we're having tonight - Mac and Cheese - but it's Kraft Thick & Creamy, with a can of Veg-all thrown in. It's really good.

Sounds like you employ the same method of cooking I do. If you Like Both items, they might taste good together! LOL

Sometimes I add a couple of slices of sauteed chopped onion to it. That's good too.

Re-heated twice-baked potato...so...thrice-baked.

3rd time is the charm! :D

Weather is crap, but have to go get some things for Karen's birthday tomorrow. Anthony's Coal Fired does a perfect lunch sizes pizza for one, that's the ticket! I'm outta here.

Karen's birthday, went for carryout from the local Greek restaurant. Container of hummus and fresh pita. Spinach pie and Greek salad for Karen, gyro sandwich and Greek roasted potatoes (that are dressed with a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and oregano) for me. Stopped previously at the local Mideastern grocery for desert, an obscenely rich baklava made with pistachios instead of the traditional walnuts.

Jeez, we ate like queen and king, and I brought home enough leftovers for a substantial snack. Oof!

Tasty treat at today's potluck lunch buffet - courtesy of me.

The dreaded white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Your blood sugar monitor's worst nightmare. :D :D

Grilled tri-tip (triangular sirloin roast), which has been wearing an olive oil/Montreal Steak rub, with fresh garlic, soy and worcestershire marinade.

Just some Improvised sandwich I call a "Carolina Club" it has your typical Club Sandwich vegetation on toasted bread with mayonnaise, but where it differs is that instead of using Turkey and bacon, You use roast beef, you add Pimento Cheese, pickled hot peppers (such as sliced Jalapeños) and you finish it with a hint of garlic powder.

Every last or 2nd to last Tuesday my workplace gets Mexican catering for our lunch break so we’ve got tacos (beef, carnitas, carne asada), quesadillas, beans and rice.

At the moment, that sounds very good to me. I like beans and rice and quesadillas.
