What's for lunch

Sweet Tomatoes sent me a gift certificate for my upcoming birthday for a free lunch. Gonna cash that in and throw down on a big salad, some of their chili, and their artisan corn bread (with sweet corn kernels in it).

From cashed in rewards points, killed a Cheesecake Factory gift card:

Ahi Tataki Tuna Salad, iced tea, chocolate cake cheesecake (chocolate cake, Bavarian cream, chocolate cheesesake, chocolate shavings, whipped cream.)

Oof! No dinner for me tonight!

Leftover homemade soup (tomato-beef).

Yesterday it was a Five Guys bacon-cheeseburger, made "all the way".

Leftover Dominos. Chain pizza places are certainly garbage, but I have to give Dominos credit for their great stuffed cheesy bread—particular the feta & spinach variety.

Caesars is the best of the big chains. Yeah, as an Italian on moms side, authentic indie places are the best especially Italian markets. Papa’s is the worst and not because he’s a jerk. It’s just really bland.

Pulled pork sandwich

Lunch with Karen at rehab, she ordered online from Panera Bread. She got a half a panini and a salad while I got a bacon turkey club sandwich. We each had a monstrosity called a Kitchen Sink cookie, big, heavy butter and brown sugar batter strewn with pecans and chocolate chunks, very rich! Pricey, but the portions were yuuuge, high quality and very tasty. First time at Panera for us, would go again.

We have a Panera about a half a mile away. Never been there, but have noticed that the parking lot is always full whenever I pass it by.

Thanks for the info about it. That bacon turkey club sounds delicious and so does the monster cookie.

What does a "pizza buffet" offer? Different types of pizza, or pizza and other things?

You call soda pop in Michigan? They call soda pop out here too.

That sounds like quite a feast!

it's pop in michigan, but i respect that other states refer to it incorrectly as soda.
