Aileen_Life_and_Death_of_a_Serial_Killer.jpg

Theron was a shock when she came out with Monster.

She was really believable in that. Monster is one of those few great movies that I don’t want to see again. Once Were Warriors and Schindler’s List are two other movies that immediately come to mind when thinking of “great movies that I don’t want to see again”

IKR, i was torn between the genius film making of Schindler's and the tragic content, I own it and it's a beautiful package but sometimes it's like what? Seen it in cinema, watched it twice to share etc...just no.

A Public Cemetery Of Wol-Ha

An early example of Korean horror, and a pretty big influence on what would become an entire genre in the 21st century .. This one really brought the supernatural aspect in to the reoccurring theme of the disruption of the family unit, and the wife as the tragic heroine ... and revenge

The second week in a row in which I have watched the student one-up the teacher

Last week it was Mia Farrow in See No Evil bettering Audrey Hepburn in Wait Until Dark

Tonight was Angela Pleasence and Jose Ramon Larraz doing the improbable of topping Catherine Deneuve and Roman Polanski in Repulsion

1974's "Symptoms" ...

what a great movie carried on the backs of Pleasence and Larraz' incredible pace and eye

The Post. Interesting time warp, few multi line telephones, no internet, manual typewriters, pen and ink, etc.

I found it interesting, but lacking in tension compared to All The President's Men.

I just put it on hold at the library, should have it by he weekend. In view of the so called fake news situation, it ought to be interesting seeing it. I dont think I did when it came out.

Solid acting throughout. I think you'll enjoy it.

Dune, via BBC America.

You are truly brave. ;) ;)

Saw it on Showtime a couple of months ago and I hear you. What a confusing mess that movie was. Great to look at, though, and some awesome scenery chewing by Sting.

“I WILL KILL HIM!”

Films like this one make me scream at the film makers, “Just tell the story from the BOOK, damnit!!! It’s about the BOOK! NOT YOU!!”

Lynch disowns it though. He’s not completely without blame but Universal should mostly be ashamed of themselves.
